Great day trip
Craig_B, May 2022
Great day well organised, it’s a long day with plenty of travel involved but all worth while. We had a great tour guide in Alberto who was vey knowledgeable, The island was great and the trip to and from the island was fantastic
Loud, party style tour

The island is beautiful and the lunch/drinks at the island were good and plentiful. Unfortunately this trip was mired by constant shouting from the guide and loud music in the coach, on the boats and on the island. It’s not peaceful and not suitable for families or children or people wanting to relax.

Had instructions to meet at the hotel gate ,not lobby ,where everyone elses excursiins were being picked up,that wouldn't open with the fabulous wifi, had reception call and the were 1/2 hour away already. Said no refund even tho service was not provided. Will only book thru hotel from now on, never online, been to the DR 8 times and will not recommend

Paradise island but….
Semat_M, May 2022
Saona is simply beautiful, definitely a must see place when in Dom Rep - highly recommend it. When it comes to travel we were not annoyed by the pick up of other people from different hotels, it didn’t last too long so was fine. The thing that is very annoying is when you go down to Bayahibe to catch your boat to Saona they stop at a little gift shop and nothing has a price tag there! Sellers are assuring you for a good price but when you get to pay they give you a mad number like $100 for 2-3 small bits like souvenirs. So get ready for a serious bid or don’t buy at all because these guys are ripping you off! Other very annoying thing is that you are asked for a tip everywhere you go - buses, boats, bars and again this means that you’ll need some $1s in hand just to make locals happy. Other thing is the mosquitos at the island, they bite a lot so bring a spray with you to be safe. Of course there are lots of beach sellers that try to sell you stuff and it is annoying again as you can’t enjoy your chill time on your lounge chair. The food at the island was ok, enjoyed the rice and pina colada made in a pineapple - was delish!

The water in Saona island...
Floriana_c, Apr 2022
The water in Saona island is amazing!! Best best puna colada in the island. Tour guide was good. Just the bus takes sooo long because it stops in many hotels to get people and only 2.5 h on the island, I wish we could have stayed more
More of a sight seeing tour
chris_s, Apr 2022
As previous reviews stated. You spend more time traveling than doing the actual excursion. 2 of the touristy stops were highly unnecessary that took away from the island time. Only rum and super sweet soda to drink. No beer.
Nice island not worth the time
Nicholas_T, Apr 2022
Way too much travel time, switching busses and boats and not much beach time and no snorkeling for 12 hrs of our vacation.
