This starts out OK and gets better as it goes. Breakfast is pretty standard CR food, decent but not special. Then you wait at the dock for a long time while some guys play Calypso music. The boat ride out is fine, although they blast loud music all the time and you can't escape it. The island itself is OK, a LOT more crowded than pictures would suggest. The lunch area is decent, and the food is just OK. Our area was very constrained - you can't go exploring. Snorkeling is HORRIBLE - 200 people from multiple tours all splashing around in the same small area, with little to see. I spent the remaining time in a hammock, which was very nice, my son played volleyball, wife and daughters hung out on the beach beach chairs cost , which they don't tell you until you arrive. The best part was the cruise back to the dock, not because the day as over, but because the sunset is beautiful. All in all, it's worth doing, but it's a mobfest - don't expect a secluded island.

If you only have time to do one tour- THIS IS IT! I've been to Costa Rica multiple times and I must say this is the best tour I've been on. It was professionally organized, everything ran on time and the activities, food and crew were fantastic! The food amounts were more than enough for the entire today- you get a full traditional Costa Rican breakfast and then lunch comes with multiple courses. The island is also filled with animals- so you'll most likely see a lot of that while you're there. Also, look for the resident pig- she may be wandering around or napping under the benches. The snorkelling was a great activity and you get to see colourful fish and starfish. The banana boat was fun and you had two options- a calm ride or loco- loco was really fun. The DJ plays great music on the catamaran on the way there and back. The bus picks you up and drops you off right in front of your hotel and is quite comfortable and air-conditioned. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!

I had a great day. It was my first experience snorkeling, if I had received a bit extra attention and tips about what not to do I would have enjoyed this experience a lot more. Overall I had lots of fun, they were very organized and professional. I highly recommend them.

From Jaco, the drive time is about 90 minutes to the boat. The boat was broken and late leaving, so we then spent over 2 hours from the time we got to their office to the boat leaving. The 4 hours and 30 minutes at Tortuga were great except the crew started cleaning up at their normal time so the hammocks and extra chairs were picked up 45 minutes before the boat made the return trip. The customers ended up stand around an unnecessary amount of time. The lunch was great. The beach was beautiful. The return drive took over 2 1/2 hours over the holiday weekend.

Transportation from our hotel in Jaco was good and easy, picked us right up at the hotel door! The catamaran was beautiful and spacious. The drinks were cheap and good! The fresh local fruit was amazing! Breakfast was better than lunch my person opinion The sand was white and soft. The water wasn't crystal clear but keep in mind you are not on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, you're on the pacific ocean. Snorkeling was fun, you are out there for an hour. It is rocky so be carful. Also because of all the rocks the banana boat doesn't go very fast. Our tour guide I don't remember her name along with all of the staff are so friendly and accommodating. My friends and I would for sure do this again
