Montmorency Falls Bike Tour in Quebec

Montmorency Falls Bike Tour

Meet the tour guide and group at a bike shop in Old Québec City’s Lower Town district. After getting fitted for a bike and helmet, there will be a brief safety orientation before beginning the 4-hour ride to Montmorency Falls. This relaxing trip covers 16 miles (25 kilometers) on mostly flat terrain.

Pedal along the northern outskirts of the city, over the picturesque Saint-Charles River and along the Corridor du Littoral, a two-way bicycle-only lane.

Stop at Domaine de Maizerets, a popular urban park with walking trails, wildlife and an arboretum that has been recognized as one of the province of Québec's 20 most beautiful gardens. Locals visit for family outings, concerts and bird-watching, plus walking, running or riding along the pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly paths.

Next, explore the bike route along the Saint Lawrence River, with a view of windsurfers and bird-watchers along Beauport Bay and the historical island borough of Île d’Orléans in the distance.

Upon arrival at Montmorency Falls, leave the bike at the base of the waterfall and hop aboard a cable car for a ride to the top and a breathtaking view. At 83 meters, Montmorency Falls is an impressive 30 meters higher than iconic Niagara Falls.

Along the way, learn about the history of Québec City and the surrounding countryside.

The ride ends with a return trip to Old Québec City.

It was a cool fall day. The fall colors around the waterfall were superb. The trip lasted about 4 hours. It was an easy ride. The guide Gui was safe, friendly and informative. Most of the trip was on bike trail, not roads.

A great way to spend the morning. A leisurely ride to the beautiful falls and back. The company provided everything, not need to bring gear on vacation.

Loved this bike ride out to Montmorency Falls and return. Phil our guide was very informative with current and historical information along the way and at the falls, he kept an eye on the group to make sure we were all coping ok with the ride. It was a very hot day so we had a couple of rest stops in some shady areas. Bikes and equipment are well maintained and would highly recommend.
