Enjoy this entertaining and educational sightseeing tour of Québec City and the surrounding countryside, cruising from the Cap Diamant to Montmorency Falls. The Cap Diamant, or Cape Diamond, is the official name of the cape and promontory on which Québec City is located. It’s formed by the confluence of a bend in the Saint Lawrence River to the south and east and the much smaller Saint-Charles River to the north. Montmorency Falls is an 83-meter-high waterfall, an impressive 30 meters higher than iconic Niagara Falls. Some of the sites to be seen include the historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac hotel, Canada’s most-beloved hotel and the most-photographed hotel in the world and the historical island borough of Île d’Orléans. There’s also something to be learned on this live-narrated cruise. Find out about the history of Québec City, the Saint Lawrence River and all the aforementioned points of interest along the way from the enthusiastic, costumed guide, dressed as Louis Jolliet himself. A variety of beverages and snacks are available for purchase on board the boat.
After touring on foot, in a horse and buggy, and a private SUV tour, the sightseeing cruise gave us another view of Quebec. Refreshing to ride on the boat and enjoy a cold drink. The guide on the boat was dressed in historic gear and revealed various aspects of Quebec's history, geology, and other general information in a fun, bilingual, and informative manner.
A very pleasant ride, but basically just a circular trip without a lot of things to see (other than a great waterfall). Listening to the embarassingly costumed guide go on in French and then English got tiring very soon.
This was a very nice tour/ boat ride. We had perfect weather - and one of the things I wanted to see in Quebec was Montmorency falls - and to be honest - this tour gave me a view better I think than driving out and parking and walking up to take a look. So I got two sights in one! - A great river cruise and a great view of the falls!. Excellent choice!
Had high hopes for this cruise. Had hoped to see some interesting sights and good commentary. Didn’t get either. Narrator was a bit of a drone. Hesitated a lot trying to explain facts. Wasn’t very good in his narration. Very lack luster
