Quebec City Shore Excursion: Half-Day Tour to Montmorency Falls and Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré

Quebec City Waterfront

While docked at the Port of Québec, begin this half-day in the country with a Port of Québec pickup, or meet the guide and the rest of the tour group at the Musée de la civilisation (Museum of Civilization), located in historic Old Québec near the cruise ship pier by the Saint Lawrence River.
Follow Avenue Royale through the traditional villages and farms of the Beaupre Coast, approximately 15 minutes north of Quebec City. Visit Montmorency Falls, an 83-meter-high waterfall on the Montmorency River (it’s 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls), and the legendary Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, where many a miracle has occurred.
Additional stops include the Chocolaterie de l'Ile d'Orléans, with 24 flavors of ice cream during the summer season and a wide variety of chocolates made from only the finest ingredients imported from Belgium. At the Cuivres D'Art Albert Gilles, learn about the art of embossing copper, visit two museums and stop by the gift shop for a souvenir. Finally, at the Chez Marie bread oven, discover a traditional bakery where fresh bread is made in 150-year-old outdoor ovens. Enjoy danishes, buns, a variety of breads plus maple products, assorted jams and more.
The tour ends with a Port of Québec drop-off.

A great tour that we took in the afternoon before boarding our cruise ship. The times were not clear though as it was a 1:00 p.m. tour and we had to meet the bus at 12:30p.m. This did not give us time to get our cruise boarding pass until we returned at 5:45 p.m. Montmorency Falls, Ste-Anne-de Beaupre and the copper showroom were well worth the tour and the price was lower then what the cruise company offered. We could have skipped the chocolate store and had that extra time at St. Anne's as they turned off the lights in the basilica and closed the gift shop on us there.

Great tour guide with lots to tell us about--enjoyed each stop with more than enough time to leisurely enjoy. Really felt we got our moneys worth and then some.

I thought the tour was great and the tour guide was incredible. When I booked the tour on line it stated that the tour started at 10AM and was a 4 1/2 tour. I assumed we'd be back to the port about 2:30PM or a little after. We never got back to the port until 4PM and we had to be on board at 4:30. It was very nerve racking in the end especially when we got back to Quebec City in the middle of rush hour. It really spoiled the tour in the end. I would never have booked this tour if I thought it was going to be 6 hours. I have used Viator many times before and never had an issue.

We had a wonderful tour!!! Loved the montmorency falls, ste-Anne-de-Beaupre and other places such as chocolaterie, museum or else. Also humorous commentaries of the driver made me laugh a lot and helped me to understand quebec city more deeply. Thanks:-

Really enjoyed this tour, especially the beautiful Set-Anne-de-Beaupre church. Would have liked to spend a little more time at the falls. The guide was knowledgeable and the stops on the tour very interesting.
