This Central Otago small-group wine tour takes you from your Queenstown hotel into the heart of the South Island wine region to taste some of New Zealand's finest wines. Considered one of the world's premier cool-climate wine regions, Central Otago boasts high-quality varietals including chardonnay, pinot gris, pinot noir and riesling.

A knowledgeable guide escorts you by comfortable coach to four or five boutique wineries for tastings and a gourmet platter lunch, before hotel drop-off in Queenstown. Boutique Wine Tour (5 Hours): Enjoy a spectacular afternoon enjoying boutique vineyards as you take in the breath-taking scenery of the Central Otago Wine region. Visit 2 different vineyards in the region, typically in Gibbston and Bannockburn/Cromwell. Be spoiled with a gourmet platter lunch and learn about the history of the stunning and diverse region. Gourmet Wine Tour (7 Hours): Visit 5 vineyards in Gibbston and Bannockburn/Cromwell and enjoy a fascinating tour through New Zealand’s wine cave. Snack on a mid-morning cheese tasting in the vineyard garden, before feasting on a gourmet platter lunch at a stunning location in the Bannockburn/Cromwell region. Lunch and all tastings are included in the tour price.

An excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Each winery provided us with samples of a variety of their beautiful wines along with information regarding the growing of these wines and about the winery itself. Lunch was absolutely beautiful as was the scenery throughout the entire day. Being part of a small group was also great and allowed you a more intimate experience.
