It was the highlight of the trip for our 9 and 10 year olds as they knew it all!! Badger was a fantastic guide and had all the info right on hand. Scenery and additional movie information just spectacular and very enlightening.
Travelling out from Queenstown the drive to Glenorchy and onto the Lord Of The Rings locations was very spectacular with vies of Lake Wakapito. We had a very informative guide with photos of the movie scenes so you could relate to the vision in front of you. In the forest swords and daggers together with other movie items were available for guests to wear and play with. A great morning out. Thanks Nomad.
This tour is excellent, no wasted time here. Breath taking views and scenery, excellent, easy way to get out and around town and learn a lot of interesting information about where movies were created at in the area. More than just LOTR is talked about on this tour. The guide brought along a binder full of images of movie scenes that you actually go visit, drive through, stand at. You may even get a chance to re create some famous scenes. Don't skip out on this tour if you're in Queenstown!
Fantastic, the scenery we were shown was breathtaking and our tour guid was so knowable and lovely. Highly recommend
This Tour I will never forget it, the tour guy was so amaze that its contagious how he express about the beautiful landscapes. Its very private in the 4x4 and a half day full of excitement and perfect photos!
Very interesting great scenery: enthusiastic tour guide well-run
Our guide was Chris. I love his sense of humour to bits!! The trip was organised well and full of beautiful scenery. Would recommend this to anyone even non-LOTR fans. Please give Chris a better bottle of wine!!

If you are a Lord of the Rings fan this tour is your way to see the locations for some of the film. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had pictures of what the scene looks like in the film. Our group did scene reenactments with capes and swords provided. Great fun and worth the money.
Mathew was very knowledgeable of the area and shared many entertaining stories. We enjoyed the tea and sword fights.
We loved every minute even though the weather was rainy most of the day we saw super sites and location. Hannah and Badger were super with lots of information and made it interesting and fun. Well worth the money and had tea in the elf woods. Great afternoon out thank you.
We enjoyed this tour very much, especially the scenery which was absolutely fabulous! Our tour guides Martin and Sally made the tour fun and interesting. Great for any Hobbit!
Excellent, very knowledgable guide. Weather wasn't the best but even then the locations are still stunning.
Our tour guide Badger was fabulous. His knowledge of Middle Earth is amazing.
The tour was fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about showing us the most beautiful locations were the movies ' hobbit' and the LOTR was shot. Queenstown and its surrounding areas. Including Glenorchy is one of the most beautiful place we have ever been to. Definitely recommended.
the staff were very organized and even though each traveler had a different itinerary they were able to keep all the moving parts organized and accommodate everyone.
Our tour guide was great! Scenery is breathtaking. I would recommend this tour.
Tim was our guide and he was exceptionally good at what he does. His knowledge of the tour and NZ in general was appreciated. The tour itself was a lot of driving, but we did not have a lot of time, so it was perfect for us. We stopped along the way and took photos. Tim even had tea and cookies for us in a heavily wooded area -- we felt like we were in the movie! He also had costumes and props for us to try on...that was probably my daughter's favorite part!
Wonderful tour and knowledgeable tour guide. Beautiful scenery and interesting locations. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun afternoon.
Fantastic. Our guide, Paul, was very knowledgable and accommodating. Happy to stop at particular points for us to take photos, providing lots of information about the filming of the movie, matching the sites we were seeing with film locations and showing us pictures in his well thumbed book so we could visualise exactly where the action was filmed from where we were standing. Two teenage Lord of the Ring fans were thoroughly impressed, as were two mums who enjoyed the scenery and other tidbits of information offered about the history of the local area. Thanks Paul!
