Check in at the tour operator’s office in Queenstown, New Zealand’s ‘adventure capital,’ where you’ll receive a safety orientation about your morning or afternoon activities. Start your triple challenge with a drive to the Shotover River for a thrilling jet boat ride. Hold on tight as the captain expertly maneuvers the jet boat into 360-degrees spins and zips past towering canyons steeped in gold-mining history.

Back on firm ground, change into a wetsuit and be transferred to the helipad for a incredible 7-minute flight from Queenstown to Skippers Canyon. Enjoy up-close aerial views of the scenic gorge as your pilot steers the turbine-powered helicopter up the canyon, landing at Deep Creek.

Here, you’re greeted by skilled and fully licensed rafting guides who provide a safety briefing and paddling instruction so you can navigate the white water with confidence. Start out by paddling over tranquil waters before reaching the white-water rapids of lower Skippers Canyon including Rock Garden, Sharks Fin, Toilet, Pinball, Jaws, Sequel and the memorable Oxenbridge Tunnel, followed closely by Cascade Rapid.

Reward your adventure back at the rafting lodge with a hot shower and sauna before you’re returned to Queenstown.

Please note: Rafting on the Shotover River varies in difficulty according to river levels. In the event the Shotover River is unsuitable, rafting may be transferred to the Kawarau River.

Our family of 5 3 teenagers really enjoyed this trip. The jet boat ride was crazy. We had never done anything like it. We loved the short helicopter flight over the mountain range and then down along the river to meet our rafting group. The scenery was gorgeous. The rafting trip was well guided, scenic and fun. A good way to spend the day.

Loved every minute of it.

We started with the helicopter ride to the rafting spot on a clear, crisp morning. The ride was short, but the views were stunning!

My wife does not swim well and the guides did an excellent job of covering all the safety aspects. Our guide, Chief, did a great job of ensuring my wife did not end up in the river even when it got rough!

The jet boat ride was the highlight though. It was even better experiencing it on the river with some tight clearances. The driver, Tim, really knew his stuff - the 360s at full speed just have to be experienced! It was just an awesome day.

Superb, We just enjoyed the rafting. It was pretty cold but we still had great fun specially during the rapids.

the jet boat and white water rafting were totally awesome, I would highly recommend these vendors and guides. The helicopter ride was a disappointment as there was no narrative and a quick ride to the drop off point for the raft ride. We were dropped off and then had to wait for the bus with the rest of the group and the rafts to arrive. There was the expectation that the heli ride would be as long as the bus ride but with some narrative and a thorough view of the valley and landscape, but it was a less than 5 minute ride straight to the raft departure site! Then wait for the rest of the group to arrive that rode the bus!
