Great time! The guides, Lily and Naomi, were great - helpful, friendly, professional! I had only ziplined one other time and this was different in that the guides did the breaking for you so less stress, more safety, and more carefree focus on the thrill. Thee was a variety of lengths and height drops on the 6 lines and a long hike between the last two lines. A bit muddy given recent rain, but the views were spectacular. They boast the last line is the steepest n the world, and my inexperience prevents any dispute from me. The tour does not include the gondola ride up. I highly recommend you include this tour in your trip to Queenstown.
This was awesome, Naomi and Gill were the perfect guides and were good company when walking to the different platforms
This was very well done and even in the rain highly enjoyable! All of the staff is fully invested and very helpful.
Tons of fun with great tour guides. Learned a lot too about the environment and the area around Queenstown. Be aware of a mile or so long hike to get out of the woods when you are finished zip lining, but they did provide poles to help with the treck.
My ten year old granddaughter Arabella and I had a fabulous time in Queenstown and especially loved the zip line!!!! Jenny and Danny were just charming and couldn't have been more helpful!!!! I would highly recommend this to people of all ages.......I'm 72 and loved it!!!!! Carmen Findlay and Arabella Jackson
This is an absolutely must do for everyone visiting Queenstown. My son who was 6 at the time and I had a fantastic experience with adrenaline pumping excitement and breathtaking views. Our guides were brilliant and very child friendly. Since arriving home we have not stopped raving about our amazing experience with the guys and girls from Ziptrek Queenstown.
My husband and I did the 6 line Kea tour and loved it. It was both our first times and our guides, Steve and Inge were both friendly and helpful and challenged us to try zip lining different ways upside down, backwards. They also gave recommendations on places to dine and see in Queenstown which was helpful to us. The shaking of the tree houses from the wind scared us more than the zip lining itself. I highly recommend the 6 line tour because the last two lines are worth just the view alone. You do go on a 20 minute hike to get to the last line and make sure you wear good hiking shoes to travel. They have a Ziptrek office where you can purchase merchandise and photos of your zip lining experience for a good price. The only thing that was difficult was the actual location of the tree house. I don't know why, but it took my husband and I 15 minutes to find it and kept wandering around. There are no signs that tell you where to go like the other activities all did.
Ziplining was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. The guides were great and all members of our family from age 10 to 46 loved the experience.
Great adventure and the the best way to learn about surroundings and its history from their knowledgeable guides.
It was really awesome and all tensed adults enjoyed it. Just enough extreme for us, flying upside down helped once the first zip was done. The people were great. Remember that the trees block a lot of the views, although there were still good ones between and two out of the 6 lines offered good views. It wasn't scary.
Not as scary as I thought but exhilarating! The 6 line tour is worth it! It was especially fun when they showed us how to zipline upside down
I did the 4 line tour as this was my first time ziplining. Group was 4 people and one guide from NZ and one from Canada who were very helpful and knowledgeable. Information about sustainability given at each stop along the way. 4 line tour is great for beginners.
Absolutey wonderful! Amazed I was able to zip upside down and wave my arms about. Would thoroughly recommend this tr
Great fun for all ages (subject to their t's and C's). Really well organised and run.
This was a fun experience with family. We were a small group and had a great day. The lines would have been more fun if they were a bit longer, but overall we had a fun day followed by an amazing lunch at the buffet restaurant, then a hike down the mountain again. I recommend this tour because you have fun while learning about how they maintain the eco quality of the area.
Nice tour starting from near the top of the gondola. They teach you how to do some fun moves like ziplining upside down. You get some amazing views of the lake on a couple of the ziplines. The only downside is that you basically waste half of your round-trip gondola ticket, since the ziplines take you all the way down the mountain. It would be nice if there was some sort of package including a one-way ticket up the gondola.
This was a great beginner's zipline tour. The ziplines were pretty short though. If you are considering it, definitely do the 6 zipline tour which is what we did. The 4 ziplines will leave a lot to be desired. The first 3 are just through the trees and the first 2 are very short. The 4th one is a nice view, and from what I can remember, the 5th one is a little longer and also has a great view. Then the last zipline is supposed to be the steepest tree to tree zipline in the world. It is still really easy to do and at least you can say you did the steepest tree to tree zipline. The guides are really great and a lot of fun. Really nice experience, but not a huge adrenaline rush so if that is what you are looking for, you won't get it here.
