What You Can Expect

Private Bike and Hike Trip to Cayambe Volcano

Cayambe National Park

Following pickup at your Quito hotel at the agreed-upon departure time, travel about 1.5 hours out of the city in a private, air-conditioned minivan.

Arrive at a local hacienda, where you will fuel up with a drink of canelazo and a snack of bizcocho. Transfer to a rugged 4WD jeep, with the provided bikes on the roof, and drive up into the Cayambe refuge. Trek up the mountain to the top, and if the weather is cooperating, you can follow your guide up to see the glacier.

Saddle up and clip into your helmet for a thrilling bike ride down to the entrance to the national Park. This is a challenging outing suitable for experienced mountain bikers. Your private guide will be with you the whole time to ensure your comfort and safety.

Back at the hacienda, dig in to a 3-course lunch before returning to Quito.

We had an amazing experience on this tour! The views from the Hacienda were stunning and the hike up to the glacier was a work out but so much fun. The best part was the bike ride down the volcano followed by a delicious lunch.
