Meet your guide and small group at the tour office in front of the Gare de Reims, France, the main railway station. You'll board an 8-passenger minivan for a full-day tour that includes two Champagne tastings.
Relax on the 30-minute drive to Épernay where you'll start with a guided tour of Moët & Chandon, a prestigious French winery and Champagne house that produces Dom Pérignon. Learn about the corresponding history of its namesake, a 17th-century Benedictine monk who finalized the production process, and sip a glass of the world-renowned vintage.
Stroll along the Avenue de Champagne while your guide points out the many opulent Maisons de Champagne, including Perrier-Jouët and Mercier with their massive cellars holding Champagne collections. Back on board your vehicle, you'll travel through a Marne Valley vineyard to see the grave of Dom Pérignon in the church of the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers.
Lunch is at your leisure upon your guide's recommendation (own expense), before continuing your sightseeing of Reims, where you may recognize illustrious names such as Veuve Cliquot and Pommery.
Next is a tour and Champagne tasting at Taittinger, whose grapes are evenly distributed over 34 different vineyards; they include some of the appellation’s finest, with varietals consisting of 50% pinot noir, 15% pinot meunier, and 35% chardonnay.
Your tour concludes with return transport to the starting point.
Please note: wineries visited are subject to availability. Taittinger may be replaced by Mumm or Pommery, and Moët & Chandon may be replaced by Mercier or De Castellane.
Very nice and very informative-Highly recommended.
The full day tour we did in Champagne was the highlight of a week long visit to France. Our guide, Raphael, was friendly, knowledgeable and fun, and a great guide to introduce us to Champagne. After meeting at Reims train station, Raphael showed us the sites of Reims before taking us to Taittinger, Epernay, Hautvilliers and Moet and Chandon. He gave us tips and recommendations along the way, and was an absolute pleasure. We didn't know what to expect from this tour, but we can wait to return and take it again!
Absolutely fabulous tour, well worth the money. Our guide for the day was Raphael, he was great and shared his wealth of knowledge about the area and champagne.

I highly recommend this tour! It was the perfect day trip from Paris arriving in Reims on the high speed train. We had time to check out the cute town before the tour started and our guide was waiting for us in the circle drive outside the train station! His name was Leo and he was awesome! Very educated about everything having to do with champagne and he actually grew up in this area! The tours of the champagne cellars were so interesting and very different from each other! I loved everything about this day trip and learned so much about champagne! Nothing better than sipping great champagne where it originated!
This tour was a highlight of my trip. My guide Amanda was amazing and I learnt so much on the tours of Moët and Chandon and Tattinger. It was a blessing drinking champagne in its place of origin. I highly recommend this tour, an easy day trip from Paris too!
We had a great time on this tour with Amanda - it was a great introductory to the region and two of the big houses. Easy day trip from Paris.
Amanda was fabulous!! She was so friendly, knowledgeable and informative. The ride was beautiful and she made sure to keep us engaged the perfect amount during our ride. The tastings were delicious and made us want to come back! A great, memorable experience!
This was one of the highlights of our trip around France! Amanda was an amazing guide and recommended a great place for lunch where we were able to try more types of champagne. She was very knowledgable about the history of the area and kept the drive interesting. The champagne houses were very nice and gave very informative tours. A must do if you are interested in champagne!
This was a fabulous tour and our wonderful guide could not have been more informative. We took the train down from Paris and we met at the station. The tour takes you to the Champagne Houses and the surrounding countryside. A stop for lunch in Epenay is included. would highly recommend this tour.
Great selection of champagnes! Our guide was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the chalk caves of Taittinger!
