While our pick-up from the airport was smooth when we arrived, we were given a misleading pick-up time for our departure. When reserving the hotel pick-up, we gave our flight departure time of 7:20 am. The email said we’d be picked up at 4:30 am. There was no mention of being outside beforehand. We were outside by 4:20. When no bus showed up by 5:00 am, we called the number on our receipt. They said that we were supposed to have been ready and outside by 4:00. I told them that nowhere did they tell us that, and that we had a plane to catch. They said they’d find room for us on the 5:00 shuttle. We were picked up, taken to the central bus facility where we boarded another bus, then headed to the airport. The airport was packed, and boarding pass machines were breaking down. We scrambled, some of us cutting in line, explaining that our plane was boarding. After getting through security, I ran as fast as I could to my gate, as my plane was boarding. A couple of friends missed the flight by minutes and caught a later flight. When they arrived at Munich, their luggage couldn’t be found. In his haste, one of the couple hadn’t picked up his baggage claim stub. After a couple of days, the missing luggage was delivered to the hotel, not before some items had been purchased. So my friends lost a couple of days of our trip together.
The first bus picked me up from Bus Stop 6, a block from my hotel. We were taken to the Bus Station and put on another bus that combined passengers and dropped us off at the airport. It was very efficient and timely. I would recommend this method.
Bus was on time at our hotel. Our hotel wasn't on drop-down for pick-up options but we called the company and asked to accommodate so we don't have to walk anywhere from our hotel and they did immediately.
