Great place to visit and explore!
Cynthia_A, Jul 2022
It was raining all day during my one day visit to Reykjavik, so the Hop on Hop off bus tour seemed to me, to be the best way to explore the wonders of Iceland. I took almost the full tour of the city but hopped off to visit Perlan which I found to be very interesting. After my visit of Perlan and going into the ice cave, I hopped back on the bus and visited the Hop Scotch street and downtown area, which was great for shopping and dining.

Nice stops, long waits for bus
Michelle_F, Jul 2022
Enjoyed stops at Maritime and perlan Concerned with frequency and pattern of bus Bus stops took a bit to find; signage was small
Fun!

Awesome way to get an introduction to Reykjavik! Easy to board and disembark because the drivers give you ample time.

This city's tour was OK, but not as good as other places we've been.
Barry_K, Jul 2022
We enjoyed seeing Reykjavik, but the time between buses was too long. The sound didn't always work well.
Easy to Explore
Elizabeth_H, Aug 2022
We enjoyed being able to ride the entire route first and then decide where we wanted to go back to visit.
Not great experience
David_W, Jul 2022
The directions on how to get a ticket were terrible, we wasted 45 mins trying to figure it out. Busses didn't come frequently enough and were too full to get on. We only made it halfway around the loop.
Sorry excuse for a sightseeing tour
Brian_S, Aug 2022
This tour sucked. When I booked the the tour, I wanted the 24 hour ticket. Whe I went to the cart it had been changed to a 48 hour ticket costing more. When we took the bus the first time it went to all the stops. The next bus decided not to go to the stop we wanted (one of the most popular) due to construction. We had to hike 1/2 kilometer uphill to get there. Might as well have walked and saved the money. On the last bus the driver didn't stop at any of the bus stops unless you went up to him and told him to stop. He bypassed several people waiting at bus stops.

Really liked just sitting...
Christine_G, Aug 2022
Really liked just sitting on the bus for the first time round so we could decide where to go. Lots of places to see.
Booked this hop on hop...
rkunkis, Aug 2022
Booked this hop on hop off trip after talking to Viatour agency who checked the buses for disabled accessibility. Stayed waiting for an accessible bus for an hour as not all buses are accessible. Also had bad experience in Edinborough Scotland where I had to take a public bus (9 British pounds sterling) to get to the hop on, hop off bus. Many stops were cancelled and this too was a major headache and expense.
Can’t really say anything bad about the tour
stefan_g, Aug 2022
A good way to see Reykjavik if you are in a rush and rainy outside But I would definitely recommend those electric scooters they are everywhere
Horrible bus tour! Save your money!!!
Timothy_O, Aug 2022
I would not recommend this tour. It was the worst hop on hop off tour we ever took! The bus isn’t built properly to see clear views from the windows which are too high up when seated. The plugs where the earplugs they give you didn’t work on several of the seats as we moved around to find one that actually operated so that you can hear the tour areas description. The areas where you are dropped off do not have any signs to allow you to return to get picked back up. We had to take a taxi back from our last stop because we couldn’t find the pick up bus area and missed the remaining majority of the trip. I called the tour company when we were stranded and was told the bus ended even though the website showed further pickups at that time. No customer service what’s so ever or regard to our situation. Don’t waste your time or money on this tour!!!!

Iceland on a bus
Vanda_R, Oct 2022
Great way to see the city and to get off and explore the sights… we hit off at Perlan … what an experience well worth a look at the ice cane was Brillant
Disappointing, cold & frustrating experience
Karen_A, Jun 2022
June 2nd - we waited over an hour for pickup and everyone at every stop said the same thing. It was very cold and it was very disappointing to miss out on things we had planned by waiting at a bus stop!! All with no apology. I would never recommend this!
Hop on Hop off

Interesting way to see the city. Wish the driver had offered the earplugs when we entered. Good way to see the city bad weather.
Great way to see Reykjavik in a short time
Frances_S, Aug 2022
It was the perfect way to see Reykjavík in a short amount of time however the scheduling of the buses was not so reliable since we had to wait longer than stated. pre-recorded audio was clear and provided good information. redemption instructions were confusing since it stated you needed to go to Harpa to redeem however that is just the first stop but you can redeem on any stop.
Terrible
Carrie_W, Jul 2022
There was no actual tour, just a bud ride. The guide literally said nothing. Plus the bus was late by 20 minutes to our stop.

Convenient way to see Reykjavik
Sandra_D, Sep 2022
I read the reviews and was a bit skeptical about using the service, especially in rainy and windy weather. However we found the bus to come in a fairly timely manner every 30 minutes. We used it for 48 hours, and visited many of the stops on the route. We thought it was a very useful and convenient way to get around Reykjavík. I would highly recommend the Perlan center, for the ice cave & exhibits learned a lot about Iceland.
Great tour!
Sherrie_J, Sep 2022
Our tour guide Tina was amazing, very personable and knowledgeable. We went to five different restaurants and sampled a variety of food. It was all amazing. You will not be hungry at the end of the tour! I highly recommend this tour!!
