love the hop on hop off coach as you get to see the sites at on pace helped us get to places alot quicker and added bonus you get information on route....
This Hop on Hop Off provides an excellent way to find your way around the city center. I recommend it as a first day activity in any new visitor's tour of Reykjavik.
This is a great way for an elderly couple to see the sights of Reykjavik without having to walk.
I would recommend this tour to all newcomers to the city. The buses run in a very timely fashion and it is what it says it is...hop on/hop off. This tour allows tourist to choose their stops, and when you are finished doing whatever you prefer shopping or photographing, you just make it to the next stop to be picked up again. We stayed at Radisson Blue Saga and my suggestion is to know which pickup up point belongs to you. The clerk said pickup is in front of the museum. The problem was there were two bus stops at the museum. We waited at the wrong one for an hour and a half. We finally decided to scroll down a ways and that is where we found our pickup stop. Look for the Hop on/Hop off tour sign attached to pole. Another suggestion: Do not take the last run of the day because you will have to disembark at their bus terminal and walk back to your hotel...it does not make a full circle to drop you off after 4:30! But...we made up for all of our mistakes the next day...very informative tour.
although the bus was hard to find at the marina in reykjavik...it was a good way
to see the city. i stayed on the bus for the whole roundtrip to get my bearing straight around town,
then i hopped off and on where i wanted to. a good way to cover a lot of ground.
Always a good way of seeing the sights and getting your bearings. Worthwhile trip.
Highly recommend it to get an overview of the city the first day and then go back to places you choose to spend more time. Although we had only a 24 hours ticket, they let us use it the 2nd day at no extra charge !!
This is an excellent way to see all of Reykjavik and get your bearings. Some very interesting facts on the audio comentary. Unfortunately the weather was beyond their control and very wet, however, as we boarded the bus, we were immediately given an extra day ticket. Very impressed with that. Driver was very friendly. Make sure you get off at Perlan and walk to the top of the tank and get a 360 view. If you have a hire car pick up the tour at Kringlan Shopping centre and the parking is free park in the 2 hour long stay.
Easy and comfortable way to get a scope of this lovely city. Best part is the ability to stop or in our case we did the entire tour and then were able to walk to specific sites as the city is so compact.
I always take the hop on hop off as a way to eliminate things I don't want to see, get lay of the land, and check off items I want to further explore so for me, this tour is great. If you like to explore right away, this may not be necessary as the city is very compact, it's not needed to get around its more worth a little history, and a good start to a vacation and getting one's bearings. Overall, to me, always worth the cost.
Everything is so close you really don't need to do this but my wife and I always do the hop on, hop off as a way to understand the landscape for further walking around. If you love to explore and walk and the hop on/hop off is not important may not need to do this but for us, like myself, who uses it for the first day to get bearings, its well worth it.
It was fun getting driven around Reykjavik. Nice to be able to get on and off wherever we wanted. Convenient way to see the city.
This tour gave us a great beginning to out Iceland adventures. We received the "big picture" of must-see and - do in Reykjavik.
It was a good tour. We road it around twice, then went back to some places to explore. The bus was clean and the driver was polite. Would highly recommend it.
As usual Hop-On Hop-off tour was a terrific way to see the city of Reykjavik. The bus stops were in convenient places and very easy to find. As in many other cities, the bus tour is great for orientation and for getting around.
This was great since it was raining we just stayed on the bus to make the entire route. 60 minutes between stops is a little long. I even forgot my voucher and the driver had me show my app and receipt on my phone and let us on the bus. That was great!
This is a nice and inexpensive way to see the city. I went around twice! The guided recording offers multiple languages and it's easy to follow along though it's a passive way to experience the city. It does help save on transportation costs....which is why I signed up.
Exactly what we anticipated. We've used Hop-On Hop-Off tours before. We like the overview of the city/Houston and the flexibility to dive in at the stops of interest. It's our transportation for the day, more informative and cheaper than taxis to all the locations.
This trip was the 3rd time I have been to Reykjavik and decided to do the Hop-Hop-Hop-Off Tour because I had wanted to go to Perlan but thought it was a bit far in the snow last year. Snow or no snow, I found while on this tour, it was too far to walk. I went around once and then let it drop me off at the church where I picked it up at. I was really glad I booked for the day I went as it was raining so hard there would have been no way I could have walked to all these places without getting soaked. The tour gives you earphones so you can hear the commentary in your own language. Book through Viator as their price is cheaper for this tour.
