I only had one full day to spend in Iceland. I’m glad that I spent it on this tour! Not only did I see some impressive sights, but I also learned so much about Icelandic culture, history, and environment.
The Long Ride is Worth the Wait

Biggi was a fantastic tour guide. His love for Iceland and her natural beauty and volatile nature come through in his presentation. His commentary made a 15hr day enjoyable. I also loved the stop to see a glacier up close and personal.
Chris, our driver, made the trip even better by navigating our full-size bus through the countryside with ease in the rain.
I would highly recommend this tour. However, I would not recommend it for families with young children as it is a long day with lots of riding on a bus.

I can’t express how amazing this trip was! Mia and Lukas were incredible guides and offered so much information! We got to see so many things. Lots of great breaks to stretch/bathroom/photos. Even a hidden stop where we got to see a glacier most people don’t go to! Truly unforgettable! Thank you Mia and Lukas!

This was a really fun day trip. Our tour guide was excellent with her energy and stories. It is a long day but the stops are frequent and break up the time nicely.
The glacial lagoon is stunning. I’d recommend to have sandwiches to make the most of the lunch and dinner stop, as we were able to enjoy the views of the glacier and the black sand beach at Vik.

Incredible Tour, I thought the diamond beach would be the best part but it turned out to be the glacier lagoon. Chiara and Alek were amazing, she had so many stories to tell us and knew everything in such detail. We went in April and we were the first to see the icebergs in the lagoon and had lots of ice on the beach
Snowy excursion

Monika and Gisli were amazing tour guides for our excursion to Jökulsárlón.
Unfortunately we were hit with harsh weather (snow blizzard) but they preserved with our journey and kept spirits up despite the circumstance. They made sure we got to see the highlights we were promised. Gisli made us feel like we were in safe hands, despite the difficult driving conditions.
We we’re lucky enough to do an additional stop at Skaftafell National Park viewing point (Skeiðará Bridge Monument) as we could finally see beyond the snow clouds. We saw two outlet glaciers from the Vatnajökull ice cap which were beautiful!
On route back we got to experience the sights of the Laki lava field which were not visible earlier in the day, with a gorgeous pink sunset. And we were incredibly lucky when we pulled up to see the splendour of Séljalandsdoss Waterfall, that the northern lights made an appearance too!
On the long journey (18 hour day), Monika kept us entertained by playing Icelandic music at meaningful points of our journey and even fed us with traditional Icelandic liquorice. Monika was very informative about the culture, history and nature of this beautiful country, with a clear passion for its fascinating geology (we even passed around rocks at one point).
Thank you both for a great excursion!

Hannes was a great tour guide. We had many stops which was great for food/bathroom breaks! This tour is the perfect way to see so much! We were able to squeeze in some extra stops! Bus was spacious and half full!

Long day with great sites

It is a long day, but a worthwhile trip to see the south and east coast of Iceland. The bus is very comfortable and there were many opportunities to see waterfalls and glaciers. We had a cold day, but it was clear so we could see lots.
