Baldur our driver & guide was excellent! He took us to so many interesting stops on this tour. Pools, fish & chips lunch, tectonic plates, encouraged us to hike up the mountain & deopped us off right in front of our airbnb. Most interrsting stops!! We enjoyed this trip so much.
Volcano? Yes please!

Wow, just wow! Visiting a volcano was a bucket list item for me and the lava fields were amazing. We hiked up the mountain and got some great views. Oddi was a fabulous guide who had some great humor and told us a lot of things about Iceland. The Reykanes had stunning coastal views. We did the blue lagoon add on and it was totally worth it.

Baldur was an amazing tour guide who passionately spoke about his native country of Iceland. He was very knowledgable about all stops made on our itinerary. In addition we as a tour group were able to see additional places along the way that baldur used to visit in his childhood. One of the best tours I’ve had in Iceland, value for money indeed! The hike to the volcano was a highlight, be sure to dress warm and in waterproof clothing!

Our guide, Eddie, was fantastic. He was a great source of geological information throughout the tour. Hiking the volcano was a thrill and was only made better by the 2 hour relaxing trip to the blue lagoon. We also had an absolutely delicious fish & chips meal for lunch. Thanks Eddie!!

David is my hero for being a very fun tour guide, and I got lucky to have a really energetic and engaging group of people on this tour! I didn't get to see active lava flow from the volcano but that didn't quite matter - it wasn't the easiest hike for sure, but it felt like I accomplished something. We did have other stops on the way to make things more interesting - my favorite extra was the beach where we got to be goofy and pretend we were on the Eurovision movie since it had been filmed there. I chose the blue lagoon option for afterward which was by the far the best part of my trip to Iceland this week. A lot of it had to do with how cool my group was - but as I said, the tour guide really set the tone so I give him mad props for doing that. I will have wonderful memories from this trip and some awesome pictures of course to back it up. We did have a lunch stop and David got really excited about fish and chips so we all ended up getting it pretty much - it was rather tasty.

Even though I was not able to see the volcano, the reason that I gave 5 stars is because Cristina (our tour guide) did an amazing job with the group. She explained everything in detail and since it was cloudy and with few showers, she took us to the volcano lava area and prior reaching the Blue Lagoon, she took us to our parts of Iceland as she know we had not had met all the hours that we would spent on the volcanic area. I appreciate that she was our guide and hopefully next time, we will see the volcanic eruption.
