Excellent. Everything they promised and more. Even included a second waterfall stop not listed on the itinerary as we had a bit of extra time. Had perfect amount of time in each location and the guide was very knowledgeable. Great price compared to others we saw and would recommend it. Loved the evening tour as well had the most spectacular sunset we have ever seen anywhere. Great. Thank you.
Wonderful evening tour. The sun doesn't set until around 11 PM, so we had plenty of daylight to travel by. I booked this tour because I wanted to avoid the crowds, and it was just perfect. It made me feel like I wasn't one of thousands of tourists lining up to take a photo of the exact same thing even though I know that's true. The drive was stunning and our tour guide was very knowledgable. It felt a bit rushed, but I think that's because I would've spent hours at each stop if I could've. Definitely the best way to see all of the major sites in the Reykjavik area without spending the money on a car rental. Our tour guide even did a surprise stop at the end at some archaeological site along the way, which was really nice. Overall, definitely worth the time and money!
Excellent Tour very informative and intelligent tour guide - the best
First I must say how happy I was that you were able to reschedule my trip after I accidentally booked it on the wrong week. I was so pleased with the customer service of both Viator and my hotel for helping me reschedule it. The trip itself was great!! We enjoyed our tour guide Yra spelling?. She was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor!! I hiked with her up the hill at the geyser for some extra beautiful scenery which I am so glad she recommended!! Everything was really wonderful and we are so glad we booked this trip. Especially in the evening, as there were little-to-no other people around when we stopped at the various locations. I definitely recommend this tour!! Plus we had an incredibly beautiful sunset on the ride home that I am sure was not planned, but was a perfect wrap-up to the trip!!
We did this tour in the evening and it was wonderful. We had a great guide who was very informative and friendly. The scenery was stunning. We were picked up and dropped off right by the guest house we were staying in. I would highly recommend this tour as a great introduction to Iceland.
I loved this! It was a very small group and there were no crowds at any of the stops. Each of the sights were amazing and we were given about 45 min for each one, since there were so few people we were able to squeeze in two extra stops! The guide was quite nice and cracked some Icelandic jokes.
I highly recommend taking the sunset tour because the locations you visit are not overcrowded by other tour groups, and in the summer the 24-hour daylight makes for an incredible experience. We had a wonderful tour guide who even stopped at an extra waterfall for us, and shared so much knowledge about the history of the country. There was plenty of time at each of the stops so we did not feel rushed, and we were able to explore each of the sites on our own. If you are in town for a limited time, this is an excellent way to see the natural highlights of this country.
I really loved it! Really got to see the many wonders of Iceland. Learned a little trivia while I was at it. Was amazed at how many hours I could photograph the setting sun!
The bus driver/tour leader was so knowledgeable. He has a great personality and was patient with clients with questions. I learned so much!
My flight was delayed by 2 hours - and to compound this the luggage carousel at Keflavik Airport broke meaning I spent over 90 minutes waiting for my bag: I assumed I'd have plenty of time to get to my hotel, check in and get ready for my evening trip before the planned pick-up. With a sense of mounting panic as time ticked by, I thought I was going to miss out on my tour. A call to the company reassured me rapidly. If I didn't make it they would transfer my booking to another day but they suggested I try to get to Reykjavik, gave me the bus driver's phone number and I was able to organise a last minute James Bond-style pick-up. I'm so glad I made it: the driver was a great tour guide- he was incredibly knowledgeable and delivered his commentary in fluent English with lots of interesting detail and wonderful wry humour. There were 3 stops: Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir and we were given good amounts of time in each, with the chance to have dinner at a restaurant at Gullfoss. The tour was obviously planned with an eye on opening/closing times of facilities which was really appreciated. As for the stops on the tour they are simply fantastic: the views at all 3 are incredible. The geysir erupts every 7-8 minutes and Gullfoss is extraordinary. There's plenty of time on the tour to get a really good look at all three sights fully. Highly recommended!
This was my favorite tour. Since it was in the evening, there were very few people at the main stops. It was quite delightful to experience this. The tour guide was friendly, and the pick up / drop off was smooth.
Lovely tour of the nature in Iceland near Reyjavik. Great do in the summer because the sun doesn and #39;t set. There is good food and free WiFi along the way in the souvenir shops at some stops. Bus is supposed to have WiFi but it didn and #39;t work.
This tour was both fun and educational. Our guide, Andreis was very informative and comedic at times. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn fun facts about Iceland.
The Grayline Tours team was super friendly and told us a lot about the history and the geological facts of Iceland during our trip. But we almost missed it as trip started at 6pm, but Viator emailed a 7pm start. Viator please double check your time postings!!
It was a great way to start Iceland off!! We just got to our hotel and were off on this beautiful tour!! Our guide was excellent and even stopped off at an additional waterfall because we were making great time!! Definitely recommend!!
Our guide was very nice and knowledgable. The tour was a good size and a good price.
thoroughly enjoyed this and our guide was a brilliant source of information.
The tour was great, well worth the price. There was the perfect amount of time at each location so we got to fully experience it without having to wait around. The guide was fantastic too.
My only complaint was that there wasn and #39;t enough pre-tour info offered. We had to ask around about where to go.
We had a great trip and the tour guide, Bjarni, was absolutely brilliant. You can tell he loves his job and genuinely likes meeting new people.
Easy pickup and drop off as promised from our hotel. Our guide was friendly and fun. She took us to the sites and went with us to the featured areas to answer questions but didn't overwhelm us with constant chatter. Beautiful scenery and a great overview of Iceland, it's history and culture. She even told us some fairy tales!
I am so happy I did the evening trip as the crowds were gone. Gulfloss is amazing if you love waterfalls. Great guide as well.
