What You Can Expect

Golden Circle Tour by Super Jeep Including Glacier Snowmobiling

See the famous Geysir erupt on your Golden Circle Superjeep tour!

After morning pickup from your central Reykjavik hotel, take a seat inside your super jeep — a rugged SUV with monster-size tires specially designed to make light work of Iceland’s challenging terrain.

Then, admire the surreal-looking landscapes as you travel to Thingvellir National Park. This pristine wilderness is one of the three sights of the famous Golden Circle, and known as the location of Iceland’s first parliament in 930 AD.

View the assembly site and hear about the speeches and laws that were laid down here through the centuries. Stroll around the rugged landscapes, and soak up views of the park’s awe-inspiring features.

Next, follow mountain tracks to the geothermal region of Geysir. Take the walkways around the bubbling mud pits and steam vents, and keep your camera poised to snap the geyser just as it erupts into the air. Then, drive to the next Golden Circle site: the breathtaking Gulfoss waterfall. Ogle the stupendous double falls, and with luck, catch sight of the rainbows that sometimes form in the water spray.

After a stop for a delicious Icelandic lunch (own expense), such as hearty lamb stew, travel on to Langjökull, Iceland’s second biggest glacier, for your unforgettable snowmobile ride.

Admire the magnificent glacier, don your supplied coveralls, helmet and gloves; and after a safety briefing, hop on to your 2-seater snowmobile. Then, open the throttle and set off behind your guide. Feel the adrenalin rush as you zip over the packed snow and ice, and take in the incredible glacier and mountain views as you go.

Afterward, enjoy a scenic jeep journey back to Reykjavik. Your tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.

Please note: the order of activities on this tour may be subject to change to ensure the snowmobiling session takes place in the best light conditions.

Amazing trip to see the Golden Circle followed by snow mobile on the glacier. The driver and tour guide, plus the snow mobile tour guides were both great, really knowledgeable and made the trip fun for the whole group. The scenery in Iceland is spectacular but the snow mobile was really the highlight, one of the most fun things my partner and i have ever done. would highly recommend the trip to anyone considering it.

Definitely a must do while in Iceland!!! It's a long day, but well worth the time and energy. Hey...you get to ride snowmobiles in literally the middle of nowhere.....on a glacier!! Pingvellir, Guilfoss and Geysir are both good stops along the way, building up to leaving civilization behind and heading out to the glacier area. Our guide was a self proclaimed Viking, and was really great fun!!!

Wow - A Brilliant day.... Excellent guides Hurli and Andsar... We had snow up on the glacier to make the snowmobiling even more fun. The Golden Circle was awesome from the waterfalls and the Tectonic plates to the Geysers. We even had time to rescue a 4WD jeep that had slipped into a crevice!!
This trip was a truly inspirational day ... Iceland is amazing!!!

Two guys that were doing the guiding for the day were awesome, really helpful and came across very interested.
Good to see the sights, nothing massively overwhelming for me. Bring your camera!
Really enjoyed the Snowmobiling, First time doing it and picked it up in a few min. Was over too quickly as these things always are.

Fabulous tour with interactive guides who love to answer questions. You will learn more about life in Iceland than in any travel books. Guilfloss was unbelievable and my husband loved the glacier snowmobile in a snowstorm. Guilfloss hass a terrific tourist shop, contemporary styling and jewel colors in sweaters, all of much higher quality than in the city.
