Begin your tour with pick-up from your central Reykjavik hotel, then hop aboard a minibus and set out along Iceland’s famous Golden Circle route. Jump out to explore the Geysir geothermal area and watch the Strokkur geyser, the most active geyser in Iceland.
Next, stand in awe before the mighty Gullfoss waterfall as it plummets more than 32 meters (105-feet) into the gaping canyon below. After snapping photos of the dramatic waterfall, continue to Thingvellir National Park to explore its beautiful lakes, lava fields and rift valleys. As you roam the park, learn more about its geographical and political significance from your guide and visit the meeting point of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
After filling your camera with photos of Iceland’s breath-taking landscapes, it’s time for the active part of the day. Get suited up in waterproof gear, strap on your helmet and get set for an exhilarating off-road adventure! Learn to drive your 2-seater buggy, then take off for a 1-hour tour and follow your guide along dirt trails and rugged countryside terrain.
Please note: This tour runs all year round so you can still enjoy the beauty of Iceland whether it’s summer or wintertime. The duration of the trip is at least 10 hours long including an early morning pick up, and drop off at the end of the day.
A minimum age of 6 years applies for participants on the tour, and a driving license is required to drive the buggies. Safety gear including helmets, balaclavas and waterproof coveralls are provided but it is recommended you wear warm clothing and hiking boots. You may bring packed lunch or some money to buy lunch when we stop along the way.
