The Golden Circle Express Tour was perfect for us, as we wanted to see Pingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss Falls. It was also lovely watching the stunning snowy landscape going by on the Tour Bus.
We had plenty of time stopping at each point and there were facilities at Geysir to eat lunch.
Pickup and drop offs were close to my hotel and getting on the coach was well organised.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we had the added bonus of the driver played the trumpet for us when we returned to the coach after one stop.
A highly recommended tour.
Very good tour just the right amount of time at stops. Tour guide very good
Amazing experience here New Year's Day, wrap up warm though, amazing coffee shop and gifts on stops too, we loved this trip, learnt so much about Iceland from the tour guide

Amazing, highly recommended.
Pick up and drop off, from and to hotel makes the tour a relax trip.
Me and my boyfriend went on this trip and we had Darren and Stular who were the best tour guides we could ask for! Darren made the trip exciting and fun! Would recommend this tour as it doesn’t take up the whole day and you get just enough time at each location!
Great trip and the duration was just about right to see the fantastic sites and nature at its best.
We definitely benefitted from having a guide who was very knowledgeable and informative but in a friendly and humerous way
This was an excellent excursion. The guide Swan was ever so informative and made the story he told interesting and entertaining.
The service this team provided was exemplary especially as we had a guest in a wheel chair who they were very accomodation with. The site were awe inspiring just wrap up warm for the waterfall as the wind chill really dropped the temperature
What a fantastic day we had. This afternoon tour suited us fine, as we did the Northern Lights the previous evening and did not get to bed until 1am. The bus stopped for about 1 hr at each of the locations, which was just enough time to have a walk around, take photos and make a toilet stop. No real time for eating, so take snacks and drinks with you. The lighting on the afternoon trip was superb and enabled us to get some really great photos, especially as the sun was starting to set as we reached the Geysir at the end of the trip. The tour guide was informative, and helped us to get the most of the trip. Both of our children loved the tour ages 9 and 15 but it was clear that some of the younger visitors were getting restless as the day came to a close. We took the 1pm tour and returned to our hotel after 7pm. A must do tour !
The half day tour was just right if you are only going to be in Reykjavik for a few days. Very impressive!
Great tour! Our guide did a great job at explaining the history. Must try!
This is the perfect amount of time to see these attractions - no need to take a full day! We had plenty of time at each stop and Gulfoss especially was unbelievable. The tour was well-organized and the guide shared a lot of interesting info along the way.
Excellent trip. Pleased we chose the 'Express' one as it gave plenty of time to spend at the sites. The falls and geyser were great experiences and the country side interesting to see to get a feel of Iceland. Weather was very kind. The geyser goes off so frequently that you get to see it several times.
If we'd known about another trip where we could have spent time at a spa and been collected from there en-route we may have chosen that one. There was also a trip where people could go horse-riding first and then be collected en-route. Being able to incorporate these extra activities would have depended on our cruise trip timings but we didn't know about them anyway.
This independently booked trip cost so much less than those offerred by the cruise ship and they were full anyway even before we embarked. The only criticism was the lack of full information about the collection from the cruise port and being told to ring 48 hours before to confirm while at sea! The uncertainty was worrying but others on board who had booked directly with the Icelandic tour firm providing the service had more information. They recognised the buses and were standing in the right place to be collected.
However the trip itself was 5. Tour guide was excellent with all the information he gave without being boring and questions he answered. Bus was comfortable and we were tired by the end of the day.
We had only a short stay in Reykjavik so this tour was a great way to hit the highlights. We had a charming tour guide. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. Gulfoss and Geysir lived up to their billing. You do not want to miss seeing these natural wonders.
Definitely worth the time and money to see these sights. Very enjoyable. Mini-bus right on time!
Well organized tour. Very impressed with pick up service at the pier of cruise ship we were on.
Very well organized. Pick up was on time and our tour guide Dori was excellent!! Really enjoyed this tour and the sights were amazing!
We were picked up outside the hotel and taken to the tour company bus station..went inside to get ticket and very quick WC stop, then onto the small bus for our tour. They called it Golden Circle Express Tour. Roma was driver and guide...great stories, explanations, knowledge of Iceland geology, history, culture. Several stops..he went with us to give further explanations of the various features at the stops. I had time for hot lamb soup/stew at Gulfoss and hot tea at Geysir. The more adventurous tour members explored beyond the first feature at several stops, but they had to be quick. Even as early as our mid-May stay there were lots of people at the sites. At the end Roma delivered each participant to their various hotels.
Punctual pickup from hotel.
Perfect timing and enough time to enjoy each location.
Fantastic for people who want see the highlights of the Golden circle
in half a day!
Would be even better if we had wifi and USB charging points on the coach.
This tour was great, the Japanese guide was funny and the Grayling bus was very comfortable, to top it all the weather was fantastic!
