Unique experience. Were lucky to see Aurora and lights from the 1st attempt. Bus guide was so involved, 3 mins before we were to leave the site to hotel he came to the bus and got everyone out to see just appeared lights.
Great tour we would recommend!

We lucked out and was able to see the northern lights on our tour! It snowed earlier in the day February 13th, 2018, so we were not sure if the tour would happen. The company will let you know by 6pm if the tour will commence or not or check with your concierge. The charter bus picked us up outside of our hotel at the bus stop closer to 8:30/9pm. We drove to the northern part of Iceland for about an hour. Along the way, the drive would change directions based on where the tour guide knew where the lights were. THe guide tells your stories about old Iceland and how the northern lights came to be. We stopped at one spot initially, but decided to change at the last minute - so glad we did! The place we ended up stopping at was near a small geothermal pool with a few lights. You NEED to make sure you are in complete darkness no light contamination or your view will not be as good. We ended up walking about half a mile away from the pool into an empty field and the lights were dancing across the sky! It was amazing!!
Make sure to do your research on before you go about camera, or northern lights app for your phone, to be able to accurately capture the northern lights on film.
One IMPORTANT piece of information - book this tour at the beginning of your trip! The great thing about this tour if that if you don't see the northern lights the night that you go, the company will mark it in their system and you will get a voucher to try to go again another night within 2 years of your initial date. If you go at the beginning of your trip, you can try to go again another night during your trip.
Due to a large amount of snow we were sent to another location and were very lucky to see the northern lights. Fabulous trip.
Really good tour. We didn't even get to see the Northern Lights due to the clouds, but it was still enjoyable. There's something about standing around outside in the middle of nowhere in Iceland around 10:30 at night all bundled up waiting to see the Northern Lights. Even though we didn't get to see the Lights, it was still a fun and memorable experience!
The reason we picked this excursion was because there was a guarantee to see the Northern Lights. The package is good for a year. If the guide and bus aren't able to find a place to see the Northern Lights, you are able to use it another time. We didn't see lights the original night we booked but we used it 3 days later. I saw the Northern Lights in the park. It was truly amazing and indescribable. I have seen many beautiful things in my life but nothing that compares to the Northern lights. This excursion is well worth attending.
Great tour! Our guide G was hilarious. They made it easy! From pick up to drop off everything was thought of. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights!

Let me start by saying that I did not see the lights, BUT the company took me out three nights in search of them. They will do the research and go out to different sites were there is a possibility of seeing the lights. You will return past midnight! If you don't see the lights your ticket is valid for two years!
The reason we came to Iceland during January was to see the Northern Lights. We were not disappointed! Amazing, dazzling experience we will never forget. A must see!
we could not see the lights with naked eyes but people with good cameras were able to see them which was pretty amazing and better than not at all, however I were told I could try again on a night that suited so book early so you can get more chances if the lights do not show up ,the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and passionate about the lights which made the night very enjoyable.
fantastic - did not see the lights on the first night - but went out again as this was part of the deal, and they are certainly well worth the trip
A fantastic trip, the coach was on time and nicely heated. The tour guide was very friendly, informative and accommodating. We drove to the national park where we had a spectacular display of the northern lights. We had hot drinks at the cabin next to where we parked. All in all a great trip!
So lucky to actually see the Northern Lights, we were in Reykjavik for 4 nights and the tours were scheduled in all of them apart from 1 due to bad weather. Also heard a lot of other tourists that went out in the same night say they didn't manage to see the lights to kudos to Grey Line once again!
Finally we got to see the Northern lights. It was amazing. It was crowded with over a dozen buses. This was probably was because the weather was so poor that they had to cancel the last two nights.
They are no benches so you have to stand for several hours.
You cannot go to Iceland at least try and find the Northern lights,
This company new where to find the lights that evening and we were told the following day by a different company that not everyone was so lucky didn't all go to the right part of the island.
The lights weren't terribly active, we didn't have the enormous wow factor of the lights from the pictures you'll see, we had an hour or so of seeing, almost like a white rainbow across the sky which barely moved wasn't terribly bright, but then the line started moving actively and a few other lights appeared and lasted about 15mins until they faded - it was definitely still worth the 90mins in the cold! WRAP UP WARM!! and Good Luck - book to go as early in your trip as you can as they allow you to retun if you haven't seen them on 1 night, if you leave it too late you may miss the chance altogether with cloud or lack of 'activity'
Although we didnt see the northern light, but must say thank you to our lady tour guide, very professional and lovely lady.
very amazing tour,i was over there with the grey line tours, this is a very serious and well organizzed company,we changed several places because they wanted to help us to see the nothersn lights,as we were not able to see the light they gave us another opportunity, i went again the 4 th of janaury and i was able to see the light, the company makes the difference
Repetiriamos
It was great we had a very good guide, he knew a lot about the Northern Light and where to find it.
We have seen it for approx. 35 min. and it was fantastic but very cold standing outside in the snow :.

Really good tour, of course the northern lights are a natural phenomena so don’t expect to see them, it’s a bonus if you can! We did manage to see them faintly but the guide was great at helping with camera setting in order to get a good photo. Deffo recommend!
