Not your normal brewery tour, but would recommend to all beer lovers. The host at the brewery was very informative about the history of beer and alcohol in Iceland. You get to sample many of their beers and was even given a can to go. Check it out !!

Plenty to taste! More than I could finish... and the presenter was very funny.
This was my second time on the tour and it was fantastic once again. Normally, I wouldn't have gone back to something like this. I had been there only about a year ago, but I had a friend with me that had not gone, so we wanted him to experience it. I'll say it again...if you're looking for a brewery tour where they talk about the brewing process, this is not for you. This is an education in Icelandic alcohol history with lots of humor and fun. This is also a great place to meet like minded individuals. We ended up hanging out with two other groups after the tour when we got back to city center. Skal!
Best tour I’ve ever been on! Our host was amazing and the beer was good too!
Being from a brewing background we go into tours etc with a slight bit of trepidation thinking is it going to be an hour on the same process you get in all the other brewery tours? With this there is none of that, so if you need to know how beer is made I'd look elsewhere for that info... but still go on this tour! This is more of an in depth insight into the drinking culture of Iceland, how things turned out the way they did like the prohibition and why some bars are named as such. All done with a great sense of humour and fun and dare I say it beer! I am a seasoned drinker and I must say it was almost hard to keep up with the different types and styles of beer being sent down for you to try.
If you want an insight into the history of alcohol in Iceland, how certain breweries were started up and called how they are. Why certain beers are made and the reasons behind their creation. Plus a good 4 or so pints worth of beer to taste in about 6-7 different styles backed up with an almost comedic, frank and deeply good willed host you cant fault this trip.
Just do it. Seriously. Thank me later.
Was a lot of fun, one of us loves beer and the other doesn't but we both enjoyed it. It was a different experience and I'm glad we went
This was a fab tour. The ‘Guide’ Happy was very entertaining and knowledgable! Not so much a tour but a walk through whilst tasking a lot of beer!!! Two of which I’ve had nothing like before! My partner and I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it!!!
Very entertaining hostess! A good sampling of local beers! Fun-filled night! We are glad that we booked this activity on an otherwise uneventful Sunday night. Highly recommended!
Well, what can i say? Not so much a tasting,This was like a great night at the pub, with your mates, all of whom you have only just met! Plenty of excellent beer to try ,all to the running commentary of the delicciously madcap Sylvia!. Beer filled madness!
So much fun! Not so much a brewery tour, but a look into Iceland's drinking history. A LOT of sampling and a very entertaining host!
The tour was great! We tried several beers, saw the manufacturing plant, and learning about the history of the company and prohibition in Iceland. The tour guide was energetic, engaging, and made sure everyone on the tour had fun. I'd highly recommend it to any beer lovers.
If you are interested in drinking the beer rather than touring the brewery, than this is the tour for you! Sylvia was amazing as she handed us beer after beer to drink as she narrated through the complicated history that Iceland had with alcohol. We had an amazing time and met some great people!
More beer tours should be like this one. Maximum emphasis on drinking a variety of beers, minimum time spent looking at the brewing process. Our guide, Anna from Greece, was wonderful. She was charming and knowledgeable and a good story-teller. If I'm ever in Reykjavik again. i will repeat this tour. I'm recommending this tour to my friends
So unique and interesting with VERY generous pours! Instead of learning about chemistry Happy Hoppy explained the history of Iceland's prohibition and brewery through a connection made to Icelandic sagas. Best brewery tour I've been on.
Excellent tour for anyone wanting to taste a variety of Icelandic beers without breaking the bank.We sampled 9 different beers with a very entertaining host who gave a detailed and amusing history of beer production in Iceland.Highly recommend.
It was a beer filled tour. Our guide, Anna B from Greece was great. She kept the whole tour fun. This tour is designed to give you a little history and get you drunk. Well worth the $75 price. Good job Anna.- Chris and Melody from California.
If you enjoy tasting local beer this is a must tour! Drinks in Iceland are expensive so this tour is an excellent value since they give you lot drinks for what you pay. Let's just say everyone left with a nice buzz : You get to learn about the prohibition history of Iceland and the tour guide knows how to work the crowd. There's nice pint of beer waiting for you as soon as you arrive. You get a quick tour of the beer factory but most of the time is spent tasting different craft beers. It's fun activity to do with friends or great way to meet other travelers if you are solo.

What a character the host was and what better way of greeting his guests than with a glass of beer which during his talk was in plentiful supply. Surprised that there was no shop to purchase the beer as by the time everyone was finished I am in no doubt that they would have spent a small fortune.
