It was a great experience - it was awhile before we saw anything, but our tour continued until we saw a humpback whale. Very memorable!
Absolutely recommended! It was fascinating looking at these creatures feasting in the midnight sun. Its a must do in Reykjavic if you like wildlife.
We had a great time on the midnight tour! We saw minke and humpback whale, and had live entertainment on the way back. Our original tour was rebooked because of the weather conditions. Eldin tours were very accommodating .
Amazing way to finish our fabulous holiday in Reykjavik. Saw a humpback whale! Boat was large enough for everyone to get a good view. Optional clean coveralls and blankets provided for warmth. Commentary informative and entertaining. Good live singer inside for the return journey. Excellent trip!
Really nice trip out to watch Whales. We only spotted the one however stayed near the boat for a long time. Crew were really helpful and to keep you warm you are offered a warm overall which I recommend along with the free sea sick tablet. Note Viator suggest complementary hotel pick up this is not true and cost 1000 each way per person.
Absolutely amazing tour. We received so many interesting facts about the wildlife in the area during the tour. If you have a chance to go on this tour during the midnight sun, do so. The sky was lit up with beautiful colors and the moon and sun were tracking across the horizon together, which was amazing to see. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided hot beverages and free blankets to borrow. This was an incredible experience being able to see the amazing whales, birds and other marine life that inhabit Iceland. Great company, friendly staff, amazing experience.
Very friendly, professional, fun and best of all we actually saw a whale!
The most amazing experience of my life. It was a magical night, the sun was shining, and upon return we saw a humpback whale. A must do cruise in Reykjavik!!!
Didn't see too many whales, that was towards the end of the trip, before we returned to Reykjavik. The guide was very informative. But what we did see was amazing. But also to be out at sea, so far north, so late with daylight, and then almost sunset. Very surreal.
The entertainment in the bar on the return trip to Reykjavik was great fun.
returned to reykjavik around midnight. Still daylight, although shadowless, with no direct sunlight. Pleasantly eerie!
Didn and #39;t see anything, but they did a great job, and offered us a free tour at a later date, even the next day. Lots of fun, too bad we didn and #39;t see anything.
Saw a minke whale, habour porpoise whales and a white beaked dolphin as well as puffins among other birds. Great company, tour guide and entertainment.
Mother nature has its ways of course, and we didn't see any whales unfortunately Either bad luck or wrong timing and they were asleep we sailed off at 20:30, saw two hump backs from far but they took a deep dive. The clothing they supplied really kept you warm, I mean nobody owns clothes warm enough to last for few hours in the open ocean! But the boat didn't have much indoor space, so it felt crowded once everybody wanted to hide from the wind on the way back.
I cannot see any whale during the trip. I understand that this is nature, so it is not the problem of the company or the tour. The company offers complementary ticket for me to join the same tour the next day. Yet, I have to leave the next day. Therefore, I did not enjoy this benefit.
Glad we done the trip. Not much activity on the whale front a few seconds and gone, a few dolphins hung about for a while but that was it. We were disappointed but that's no reflection on the tour guides or company. It's simply the nature of nature. The boat trip was cold but you get warm coveralls, the weather wasn't great drizzled most of the time, we had entertainment and refreshments on board.

Well, this is the deal. If you want to see whales in the harbor, the best time to go is the summer evening, so it leaves around 8:30PM. We did two hours of decent whale watching, and then for some odd reason, they ran the boat out for about 75 minutes into deeper waters and no whales at all. We got back to the old harbor around 12:30 pretty late, and I considered the last 75 min totally wasted. If you have problems with sea sickness and it looks choppy....don't go. The guide was four-star and the boat is very safe.
We just followed one whale around the whole time. Not much fun. It was cool to go at night but certainly not worth the amount paid. The best part was the live singer on the boat on the way back. Without him, this would have been a wasted evening.
