We only had a short time in Iceland and this tour suited us. We prefer small groups and our guide Gummi was excellent. We enjoyed the waterfalls, geysers and the interesting information, stories, etc. told by Gummi.

Our guide David was awesome. He was genuinely very funny. Not in a scripted kind of way, but in a very natural way. He was entertaining and made the trip fly by quickly. The details he gave us about locations and information about Icelandic culture and society were much more nuanced than any of my other tours. You could tell that he really cares about doing the best job he can and that he really thinks about what would be the best experience for the guests. A good example is how he basically did our tour in a backwards order than most of the other companies in order to avoid huge crowds. Thanks to this we had a few stops at locations where it was literally just our small bus of 11 or so guests. This made visiting those locations a much more personal experience. He even gave us tons of advice on other places to go and see. I was in Reykjavik by myself and I asked him if he had a good recommendation for a place to get some lamb for dinner since it was my last night there. He literally took about ten minutes of his own time just to check up on places he knew in order to find me the best place. That tour was the perfect way to end my trip to Reykjavik and the place he suggested for dinner was the icing on the cake. This man deserves a raise. Thanks!Lyndon

This was a terrific excursion and our guide Gummi was the absolute best he took us places in addition to the regular tour that only the locals know!

We enjoyed the day! The stops were well planned and we especially enjoyed the secret lagoon visit. Only issue was the food available at the lunch stop. Not the best.

I really enjoyed this tour other than the lunch stop. I assumed we were going to stop at one of the cafeterias at the sites but we ended up at a tourist stop in the middle of nowhere ( even though the guide said it wasn’t a tourist trap). The only options were a salad/pizza bar or limited a la carte menu. It was so hectic and clear that they couldn’t handle the volume of people. There was no lettuce when we arrived and the smallest selection of salad fixings I have ever seen. And on top of that, it was 2,500 isk per person. A sandwich at one of the cafeterias would have been 750. This shouldn’t detract from the tour because it was otherwise great and guide was friendly and informative but I would recommend packing provisions from the grocery store just in case.

Awesome small tour with an AWESOME Guide (David). I strongly recommend this tour. Save your money and do this over the Blue Lagoon!

Arna was our guide and did a great job sharing her knowledge of the country and the sites. The secret lagoon is a great way to end the day.

We booked this tour in preparation for our cruise itinerary which stopped in Reykjavik for two days. There are many different tours and many of them include the Blue Lagoon versus the Secret Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is more commercial and crowded. This tour provided the same experience at a large geo-thermal pool that is more known to locals. This tour includes four major sites and ends with being able to swim in the Secret Lagoon. Our tour guide, Dooley, was from Iceland and knew much about the history and the sites toured. He even spoke about his family upbringing and how family life is part of the Icelandic culture. We had a great time seeing everything offered on this tour and would highly recommend it.
