We went on this tour 2/19/17 with Andres F. He was very knowledgeable and a great driver. Tour was definitely a must do
This trip was very good but was made outstanding by your guide/driver. He helped make the trip the best.
Was very informative and helpful, answering all questions timely. Was an outstanding guide.
Excellent tour! Trond is an entertaining and informative guide, friendly and full of tales. He decided we should do the tour 'the other way round' - visiting the Secret Lagoon first while it was less busy, which was good. The lagoon is lovely and warm and a real experience didn't go to the Blue Lagoon but the Secret Lagoon felt really natural - bring flip flops for walking round out of the water. The Gulfoss waterfalls are impressive, despite the tourists and the STUPID ones who went under the barrier to get photos. Expected the falls to be frozen but they weren't! Lamb soup in the café there was delicious and so efficiently served to large numbers. The geyser at Strokkur shot up into the air as promised - almost as interesting were the little baby ones bubbling away and the red hot streams. After an impromptu stop at a farm producing fabulous ice creams, on to Thingvellir and a well signed history walk up to the top where the view was spectacular even though it was getting dark. Liked the fact that at all the places we visited Trond dropped us at one carpark and gave us clear directions so that he could pick us up at another carpark. It's a long tour but doesn't feel rushed or too on/off the bus all day - you'd really struggle to do all this as efficiently on your own.
Excellent trip and highly recommended. Tour guide Bjorn was amazing giving us information about every aspect of Iceland, he even sang to us which was brilliant. Although we had rain for part of the day and it was cloudy and dull, we didn't let it spoil it and at the end of the trip when we went to the Secret Lagoon, well that was by far a most wonderful experience. Cannot rate the trip enough, well worth it.
My daughter and I absolutely loved the tour which was very well organised and punctual. Our tour guide, Trond was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The scenery was absolutely beautiful but extremely windy so would recommend warm head wear and good walking boots too. The advantage of a small tour was that you never felt rushed and always got to places before the big coaches arrived.
Very good value. Andreas F, our driver/guide was attentive and knowledgeable. Takes you through some amazing areas and was a little shorter than some of the other tours, but we felt like it was just the right length for us. The Secret Lagoon was very nice. We had been to the Blue Lagoon the day before. We liked both, but they are very different. The secret lagoon was actually felt more crowded than the Blue Lagoon, but that's because it is much smaller.
Stefan was the best tour guide - his deep melodic voice was exactly what I expected from a Viking/Norsemen descendant. LOL. Seriously, he was knowledgeable, funny, and went above and beyond. Asides from the stops advertised which were amazing!, he obliged us when we asked to stop to take pictures with the adorable Icelandic ponies. Loved it.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Iceland.
The first evening we went on a Northern Lights tour and were lucky enough to get a sighting!
The next day we went on The Golden Circle tour with a visit to the Geysers and Secret Lagoon, our bus driver was very informative. Fantastic scenery!
We then visited The Blue Lagoon the highlight of our trip for my daughter's 30th birthday - What can I say - FANTASTIC!! could have stayed in there all day! But one tip I would recommend is that you should wear either a headband, hat or scarf to cover your ears as they get freezing with the cold air!
We stayed in a hotel called Hotel Island, on the outskirts of Reykjavik. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were very good. So no complaints except that maybe we would've preferred to stay a bit more central to Reykjavik centre.
Overall an amazing holiday which we both enjoyed very much.
The tour into Iceland is the Iceland I have always thought about in my mind, sparsely populated, quiet, solitude and the beautiful meeting of mountains, volcanoes, snow and sky. We had the absolute pleasure of having Baldur as our tour guide. His knowledge odf Iceland's history mixed with his stories of his life in Iceland brought the country alive. He impressed us with a deep knowledge and mixed with great humor, some self deprecating. Ending in The Old Pool was an absolute pleasure. We read and decided to skip the Blue Lagoon for the Old Pool, a much wiser choice.
The Golden Circle tour was great, but the highlight for me was the Secret Lagoon! It was a real lagoon with a rocky, sandy bottom not a concrete pool. So nice and warm better than bath tub water!
What a great tour with a fantastic host. Can't even express how genuinely friendly and kind the Icelandic people are. Great experience. Well worth visitng the Secret Lagoon - preferred it to the Blue Lagoon, although both are worth a visit! I honestly stood and cried at the national park. Never seen beauty like it before. I was just so moved. Gullfoss was absolutely breathtaking, and really enjoyed seeing the hot springs. Fantastic. What more can I say?
Our tour guide, Stefán, clearly knew Icelandic history, and his voice was very relaxing to listen to. Each of the stops had some incredible sights, there were good places to stop for food. And ending in the Secret Lagoon was perfect. I definitely would recommend this tour.
I am so pleased we booked this tour. It was personal and we never felt rushed. Our guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining. We stopped off to see Icelandic ponies along with the other highlights. A fabulous day that I would highly recommend.

This tour is a perfect way to see the main sights with the added bonus of the Secret Lagoon at the end of the day. We had Andres as our tour guide and he was excellent, funny and very informative. He even took us to see another little waterfall as the weather was very cloudy for us to see the National Park clearly. This was definitely the highlight of our holiday and well worth the money.
A must do trip. Beautiful - Stefan the guide was wonderful, accommodating, knowledgeable and a great speaker and singer. This made our holiday.
We had an amazing day seeing the sights of the Golden Circle, and our guide Björn was amazing. He had a great well of knowledge about the sights and the country, and made the hours spent in the minibus very enjoyable.
Our tour guide Bjorn was spectacular. Couldn't ask for a better guide. We had rainy/sleety/snowy weather and we all didn't mind. Small group tours are the way to go. He told us much about Iceland's history and even made a stop to try the best ice cream in the world at a local dairy farm. we also got to see the dairy cows I've been on small tours before where I feel like I am being forced to stop at off road places and spend but I didn't feel like that with this tour. Thingvellier NP, the geyser, Gulfoss, and the Secret lagoon. I think my favorite was the secret lagoon, as Bjorn knew that other larger busses were going to get there at a certain time, he directed us there about an hour before they came in. Those are the little touches that make tour special. On the quiet ride back too the city - he played a Icelandic music Spotify list, and surprisingly we knew some music. Pick this one tour, its worth it.
This was a superb trip - our guide Trond was knowledgeable, funny and thoughtful, even stopping to dash in for paracetamol for one couple on the mini bus. The sites were, of course, outstanding, particularly the icy falls at Gulfoss and the wonderful secret lagoon - cannot recommend highly enough!
The was a small bus tour 20 or so people. The sights were amazing, but the guide was even better. Very informative, entertaining, and accommodating. He even offered to be a drink waiter at the Secret Lagoon and added an extra stop for Icelandic ice cream which is a must if you like ice cream. My 15 year old rates the ice cream every where we go and says this is the best he's ever had. We avoided Blue Lagoon during our stay to commercial and crowded we heard, but did 2 other hot springs. Secret Lagoon was my favorite. It is a natural pool not concrete with various temps at different spots in the pool. The drivability of these tour buses is amazing. There was a lot of snow down and this 4 wheel drive, studded tire bus could go anywhere. I grew up and live in locations with snowy weather and was impressed with the buses here, knowing what driving on those roads is really like without a good vehicle.
The tour showcases the top attractions, but there is a lot to see and sometimes you will feel like you could have more time on each spot. Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. And the Secret Lagoon was a very charming and relaxing final touch, not as touristic as the Blue Lagoon felt more like the real deal for the Icelanders!.
The scenery is superb.
Bjorn are tour guide was very good with all his information and sense of humor. The size of the group was adequate. We even had an extra stop at a farm that produces ice cream. Great experience
