An amazing experience....hardest part was getting into the dry suits!
This tour was incredible- super enthusiastic and fun instructor, he kept things simple and straightforward. We were well equipped with all the gear that we needed and the crew made sure we were all securely strapped in. The view was out of this world as we slowly made our way through the fissure, taking photos and videos underwater I brought a waterproof go-pro camera, highly recommend. I liked that the entire tour was JUST long enough to soak in all the beautiful views without completely freezing our bottoms off.
If there's one snorkeling or scuba tour to do- it's definitely this one!
Awesome awesome awesome! What an experience! Just do it, you won't be disappointed.
This excursion was unbelievably amazing. There are no words to articulate the unfiltered beauty of the crystal clear lake.
The guides were very thorough with their instructions and explanations. They were very serious about making sure that our dry suits were good fits and were well secured. And they had great senses of humor. 2 thumbs up to the hilarious Jack, Tina and the entire amazing team of guides.
The idea of hopping into a freezing 34 degree lake may give anyone reason to pause. Rest assure the dry suits do a great job of keep you warm in the water. Your exposed lips may feel painfully cold for a few minutes, but the feeling goes away within a few minutes of being in the water and you immediately start to enjoy the stunning site underwater.
I highly recommend this tour company and this excursion!
Unique experience which I would recommend. Suits a bit cumbersome but warm.
A truly unique Iceland adventure and one of the highlights of our trip! The most challenging part is getting into the drysuit but once you are in the water you are glad they took the time to make the suit water tight. We were not cold at all the water was actually refreshing since it was a warm day.

The only issue we had was meeting the tour at the Info Center in the park as we were not coming from Reykjavik. Just plan ahead and you will be fine, the meeting points are fairly accurate but it would be nice if the site had a map instead of just coordinates. Otherwise, the staff was helpful and the experience was great!
This was one of the highlights of our trip! It does take a little long to get into your dry suit, but it is certainly worth it. There isn't a whole lot see when you snorkel in terms of fish or plants, but the experience is really a once in a lifetime kind of thing. Our instructors were super helpful and friendly.

What an experience. The guys at Artic Adventure could not have explained and have been more helpful. All the equipment was 1st class making it a very memorable morning.
Amazing... guides could not be more helpful or accommodating. Not to be missed if you are visiting Iceland!
Amazing tour! The dive staff were amazing I was panicking a bit as id never been snorkelling before they calmed me down and stuck by my side while we were snorkelling , breathtaking views
And I and #39;m so glad I did it. Water is lovely to drink and I didn and #39;t feel cold. Id recommend ,5 stars
Amazing. This was the first thing we did when we got to Iceland, and it was incredible. Such an awesome way to start the trip. The gear they provide keeps you warm and dry, although your hands and lips might get cold. I was terrified but the guide was awesome and stayed back with me and didn't leave my side until I was comfortable enough to venture off on my own. The water is crystal clear and they tell you to take the snorkel out of your mouth and drink the water as you go, it was cool. Definitely recommend!
This was such a great tour, even though I had some issues with my suit. It felt a little restricted but my snorkel guide made sure that I was relaxed and helped me every step of the way! I would definitely do this again when we return to Iceland. Our tour guide was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was on time and everyone at Arctic Adventures was friendly and helpful. Make sure you have a Go Pro or a camera that you can operate with some serious gloves on. It's stunning!
The crew that picked me up was super nice and we had a really nice talk that made the 40 minutes drive fly by.
The snorkelling was perfect. The water doesn't feel cold at all thanks to the gear they provide and it's cristal clear, so you can see really well below as you swim.
I would definitly recommend doing it
Great excursion once kitted up this is a long process but great when in the water it is lovely and clear and can see all the way down. Can use cameras. Some of the suits do let in water one poor girl had a major leak and was drenched don't let this put you off. You are told to wear a base layer under the dry suit so word of advice take a spare base layer with you and then if you get wet you can change once snorkelling is over .No changing facilities you get changed by side of mini van you can obviously leave your stuff I the van when you snorkel.

Absolutely amazing! Once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It was a great excursion. The snorkeling was out of this world, so clear, quiet and magical. You could see for a long long distant. The tour was well organized and the assistants were hardworking, thoughtful and kind. Getting the dry suites on is arduous and you just have to be patient, but that just made the final product all the more worth it.
I enjoyed the novelty of this tour. Dressed into a warm quilted suit then into the dry suit was something I and #39;ve never done before. Then into freezing cold water where I felt lovely and warm because of the suit. The water was very clear and to be snorkeling between continents was a unique experience!
Was great to be in such a small group and feel a much more personal service. Ian and Norris were our guides and were really really enthusiastic and helpful. Even when the cold got to us their cheerfulness helped a lot! The experience itself was pretty awesome, you can't really appreciate the water clarity until you see it for yourself. I'd recommend the snorkelling over scuba diving, as it's pretty much the exact same experience and you can see all the way to the bottom anyway.
Fantastic time - well worth it. Richard was one of our guides forgotten the other's name - but she was from Denmark and he was terrific. They both were. We were lucky and the sun came out just before we got into the water : Gorgeous to snorkel through, no where else quite like the Silfa fissure. Highly recommend.
Went on the snorkeling with a party of 9 family members and we all had a great time. The bus picked us up promptly at our hotel at the designated time. Our two guides at the snorkeling site were awesome - highly recommend the experience.
Our driver and tour guides were amazing. Picked us up on time, were personable and friendly. This excursion is a must for anyone staying in Reykavik. It was such an amazing and unique experience.
