Begin your tour with an early morning pick-up (around 8.30-9am) from your central Reykjavik hotel, hop aboard an all-terrain Super Jeep and set off to explore the unchartered landscapes of South Iceland. Jump out to admire the 60-meter-high waterfall of Seljalandsfoss and enjoy mesmerizing views as you walk right behind the falls.
Continue into the heart of the Thórsmörk valley and learn how the enchanting landscapes took their name from the Norse God of Thor. Along the way, enjoy plenty of stops to take photos and hike through the rugged valley. Traverse glacial streams and rivers, marvel over the icy terrain of the Gígjökull tongue and feel the thrill of the wilderness, as you wander miles from the tourist crowds.
After an epic full-day adventure, climb back into the Jeep for the return journey to Reykjavik and be dropped back at your hotel.
Please note: Lunch is not provided so please ensure you bring a packed lunch, or some money to buy lunch at one of the scheduled stops along the way. Wear comfortable and warm clothing. Waterproofs are highly recommended, while jeans are not ideal for this tour. Lastly, bring your camera to make sure you don’t miss any of the action!
