Bus driver was friendly. Great tour of the lava tube. The tour guide of the lava tube was a geologist and was exceptionally informative! Northern lights was canceled and they kindly rebooked us for the next day. The person at the Skyr tasting was very nice and knowledgeable. Skyr tasting was interesting... however is not a must see...

This was a great tour with the exception that we didn't get to see the lights, which is totally not their fault. Our guide, Stephen, was very
interesting, great driver and very nice. Had a great time. We went out the next night on a big bus to see the lights but still did not see.

The Lava Tunnel is definitely worth seeing. The Skyr Tasting Tour was very nice but the place itself is small. They provided sample Skyr which was lovely. The Northern Lights tour was postponed for the next day which we did go see. We did see some Northern Lights but not the big show. It's hit or miss.

The Northern Lights are never able to be reliably predicted, so sightings are never guaranteed on any trip. The day we went, the lights were barely visible as a slight streak in the sky. Rather disappointing showing, but this was no fault of the tour company. The reason I would recommend this tour over the other Northern Lights tours is specifically because the lights are not guaranteed, so by adding on other excursions to your trip, you alleviate the risk of a completely wasted evening. The lava tube hike was quite interesting, and the guide was very informative about how the tubes were created. The following stop at the Skyr factory was less interesting, but still enjoyable to taste various forms of skyr and learn about how it was created. All in all, it was a great evening, even if the lights did not really appear for us that night.

Nice trip. The lava cave is great but tricky. Make sure if it is cold that you are very careful on the ice. Also the direction in the bus terminal could have been better. Not much direction so you must be proactive to find your tour.

The best tour!!!

Good and interesting tour. Highly recommend the lava tunnels. It was especially good at night because it was a small group tour. Only complaint was that we were unable to see the Northern Lights which was no fault of the tour company.

Overall, I highly recommend this tour. We enjoyed the Lava Tunnel and the guides were knowledgeable and engaging. There was an issue with the lights in the tunnel, but it did not take away from the experience. Even though we weren't scheduled to go searching for the northern lights until after the lava tunnel, they appeared before and after we came out of the tunnel! That was a pleasant surprise! The Skyr tasting was also good. The gentleman who gave the tour, made it very interesting and we enjoyed learning about and tasting Skyr in it's different forms. The only disappointing part of the tour was that when we went to search for the lights, we were dropped off in an area and it was very cold obviously, this was no one's fault. By that time, the lights had spread out in the sky and were not as vibrant as earlier. If you want good pictures of the lights, you really need a good camera that you can adjust the shutter speed. The i phone camera is not good for capturing the lights unless you download the app before hand and even with the app, the pictures come out a little grainy. Finally, we were not happy that at the end of the tour, the driver dropped us off at a different bus stop that was further away from our hotel at 1:45 a.m stating he couldn't get to bus stop 7 because it was a one way street. I know the city is safe, but no other driver had any problem dropping us off at bus stop 7 during the rest of our trip.

What an amazing experience! It was great to get out of Reykjavík and experience the surrounding countryside. We stopped at the Lava Tunnel and explored the most incredible formations and rocks inside the volcanic lava. We then visited a local town, visiting the original Skyr factory. And then of course, the hunt for the northern lights away from the Reykjavik city lights. This was a perfect way to hunt for the northern lights, experience the landscape, and experience an evening in a local town with the friendly Icelanders!!
