Once in a lifetime experience

Fabiana and Junior took us to see Christ the Redeeemer and SugarLoaf mountain. They are both extremely knowledgeable about the area and the routes to take. We had an incredible time at all the stops. Fabiana told us where to sit or stand to get the best views, the best pictures and took us to a delicious restaurant serving authentic Brazilian food. Do yourself a favor and take a tour with them.

Excellent guide and driver. Local and very knowledgeable about Rio and Brazil in general. Great personality and sense of humor - Paulo. He got us into all the sites on a priority basis - no waiting!

Fabiana was amazing with her knowledge and history of Rio!!! Fabiana would have us maneuver the crowds where she would know the best views and timing to arrive. Her knowledge of Rio's history and evident love for her city shows through in her infectious personality. Junior, our driver, also brought levity to the trip and was quick to offer additional information of Rio. Would suggest hands down these 2 to provide any type of tour and they were flexible (even dropping us off at the airport)!

Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, Selaron Stairs, lunch at a local and very popular restaurant. The crowds out celebrating Carnival. Rafael was a great guide. He was entertaining and very knowledgeable. We packed in a lot in our day with him. There is no better way to get the feel of Rio than to take a tour with Rafael.

This was an amazing day spent in Rio! We had such a great guide with Rafael. He was highly knowledgeable and shared so much of Rio’s history with. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Although it was a cloudy day we did go up to Christ the Redeemer and the clouds cleared. The whole day was absolutely wonderful!

Our tour guide and driver were fabulous. We got to see everything we wanted in spite of the questionable weather which consisted of rain all day and Christ and Sugar Loaf being up in a cloud with no view of Rio to be had.

Our trip was a perfect experience, you need to have knowledgeable people who can coordinate your day. We literally checked off every attraction had lunch and it was safe at every moment. Julio was our guide, he knows everyone and was terrific! He is a true professional! Our driver Anthony was always ready it was so easy! Would highly recommend! And if possible ask for these two!

Owner of “Be Free Tur” Marcelo responded to email very promptly before we arrived in Rio de Janeiro. Our guide Beth met us at at luggage area and got us to a small private car, however the AC was not working well. We had a little delay at the entrance to the tram to the Christ the Redeemer but it worked out as scheduled. Marcelo picked us from there in his car with good AC and drove us to Sugar Loaf. Then picked us up from there to a diner in downtown then took us to the Metropolitan Cathedral …. Waiting on us at the parking lot then took us to drive by the Painted Stairs then finally to the cruise ship port for our 5:30 pm check in. Beth did a very good job of explaining see sights along the way and with patience for us to lingering about the sites. We would recommend this tour to our friends.

We beat the crowds at Christ the Redeemer and our tour guide, Faby, took great photos of us there. We visited Sugarloaf, had a delicious lunch (our choice of several options Faby suggested), and had laughs and fun at the optional Carnival Experience. We stopped for photos at the Selaron Steps, which Faby helped us with. Faby managed to get us to the Harry Potteresque library - so gorgeous. What a day! I'm sure we saw all of the "must sees" and we had a fun, very conversant in English tour guide.

This is my second time in Rio, and first I with my better half. This made it very easy to see everything in one day, and then get some ideas for what you want to do for the rest of your trip. Rafael was knowledgeable, funny and a good time to talk to you. We went to a wonderful for lunch, (did not see any tourists) and really enjoyed the fact that we could make the afternoon whatever we wanted. The falls in national park or absolutely gorgeous. While this isn’t cheap, I think it’s well worth the money and makes life super easy if you pick the option where they take care of the tickets.

I really want to shout out Marcelo from Be Free Tours! He was so personable and attentive before , during, and even after my tour. I booked a private tour to see the major sites in Rio. Upon booking he texted me with all the info and the name of my tour guide. I was made aware of everything. They picked me up from the hotel. Mariana was my tour guide and she is the sweetest! Everywhere we went people were coming up to her and hugging her and saying hi. That showed me she was a good person. I saw everything I wanted to see and thoroughly enjoyed. Note I booked private so it was just me and the guide.

Amazing day in Rio! Driver and guide were outgoing, friendly, and knew the city by heart. We got to see so much more than I thought we would. Steps, library, cathedral, soccer stadium, Christ redeemer, sugar loaf, and more. They were a fun team that balanced each other very well and made our day in Rio unforgettable. We would definitely recommend.

Wow! Wonderful day with Marcelo & Rafael! On time pickup, saw all the sites, very knowledgeable, highly recommend. Delicious lunch at authentic Brazilian restaurant. Adjusted the tour to our requests. We enjoyed them so much we scheduled another tour with them the next day to Petropolis. Another fantastic day! This was an amazing day. Marcelo and Fabiana went well above expectations to make our day the best. I was able to communicate with them in advance to make suggestions for the day. Our tour was very well curated and organized but we were also able to make a few fun ad-lib stops along the way. Highly recommend this tour if you want an informative, yet super friendly tour of the city and its highlights.
