Great tour of Rio, we were suppose to be with other people in a mini bus for the tour, but since the tour company was unsure of the family size, we got a private car, for a private tour of Rio, very personal and nice. For the first part of the tour we had Katia as a guide, she was nice. We started at Escadaria Selarón, it was great we were there early with no crowds, followed by Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, she gave us a feel for what it is like to live there, even pointing out her favorite beach, Red Beach after we went up Sugar loaf. Lunch was at a local churrascaria where she pointed out what was must try. After lunch we change tour guides to Leo who was very funny, he explained more about Rio to us. He took us up to Cristo Redentor. Wish we could have saw more, but a lot of things were closed due to the Olympics, oh well, still a great day! With two great tour guides and a great driver.
We've gone on many sightseeing day tours around the world and this is one of the very best on Viator. Our guide Vincent spoke excellent English and was able to joke in English with us, too. His explanations of the history of the region and Brazil itself were critical to the day's success. The tour starts out perfectly as you get whisked up to see Christ the Redeemer before the crowd's get there. We had the entire monument to ourselves for nearly 20 minutes! We then went over to Sugarloaf Mountain and rode the cable cars to take in the amazing views. The steakhouse lunch included in this tour is absolutely incredible! Bring your appetite as the waiters will literally not stop shoveling meat in front of you until you tell them to stop. And it's very high-quality, well-seasoned meat along with tons of veggie options, too. The afternoon is a bit more leisurely but beautifully rounds out a fuller understanding of the city's landmarks. Climbing the steps, visiting the cathedral, and seeing the soccer stadium were all excellent ways to end the day. We were back at our hotel before 5pm with plenty of time to shop and eat dinner. Perfect day!
This tour was amazing!!! Tour guide Vincent Thomas very helpful and professional. Very happy with the services. Lunch was great and all the attractions were done on time. I will do it again!!!
The tour was very informative and the tour guide was great. I highly suggest one take this tour of visiting Rio.
The tour was fantastic! I highly recommend everyone to have a tour guide with you! My guide Katya was amazing and we had a good time together exploring the city of Rio! I think i just left my heart in Rio :))
This all-day, all-city tour is a great overview literally of Rio.
This is an expensive tour and could be picked up locally easily for less.
But, it is a must-do.
Getting to Corcovado early meant quick access and no crowds we had the place to ourselves at 07:30.
Due to construction, the train was not available, so we drove up.
Good weather allowed expansive views this would not be fun in poor weather.
Likewise, Sugarloaf was also incredible. Two cable car rides get to awesome vistas of Rio.
Tour guide, Vincent Thomas, often volunteered to take group photos.
Lunch was a delicious churrascaria.
After lunch, other stops included the Mosteiro de Sao Bento with its beautiful church, the Catedral Metropolitana and its magnificent stained glass windows, the Escadaria Selaron and its colourful tiled steps and the Maracana football stadium closed for Olympics preparation.
I don't know if we saw all 30 attractions, but many were pointed out Arco do Lapa, Sambadrome, Ipanema, Copacabana, Botafogo beaches, ...
A long day, but memorable.

My family and I enjoyed our tour in Rio. We had a great tour guide, very professional and also had a great lunch. We recommend this to everyone who are visiting Rio for the 1st time to take this full day tour.
We liked the Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf on our tour. There was easy access to both sights with our guide. The Brazilian lunch was also a nice treat. It would have been nice to have more of a guided tour at Copacabana Beach. Otherwise all in all it was a pleasant tour.
Great tour with great lunch at the all you can eat Brazilian steak house.
very good tour guide, vincent tomas
