Excellent day seeing the sights of Rio. Our guide was both entertaining and delightful. Was certainly a good idea to go to Mount Corcavado first, we got there about 8.30a.m. and it was reasonably quiet. By the time we left you had no chance of getting a photo without a hundred other people in it! A long day but certainly worth it. We were staying at the Windsor Alantica which was also a pick up point, very convenient. Would certainly recommend this company to anyone wanting to see the main sights of Rio. This is much better value than booking through a cruise ship.
The tour was perfect. We were among the first to visit the statue of the Christ then we went to Sugar Loaf. We saw the Maracanã Stadium and the Sambodrome from the outside we couldn't enter the Sambodrome since they were preparing the Carnival. Finally, we spend some time at the Escadaria Selarón. Our guide Margret was great, nice and very helpful. The tour is a great way to see most of Rio in a day.
Great tour. Had a short time in Rio and this tour was certainly complete. Our first stop was to see the Christ the Redeemer statue and was glad we got there early. The area where the statue is located is not very big so I could imagine how annoying it would have been with all the crowds if we had gotten there later. We hit all the highlights of the city. Would highly recommend taking this tour.
This was a great tour - our guide was Carmen who was very friendly and helpful arrived at our pickup point precisely on time and as there were only two couples on the tour, we had a small van. We headed immediately to the Christ the Redeemer statue to avoid the crowds - we were there by 8:30 a.m. and when we left at 9 a.m. the crowds were starting to get very heavy. The visit to Sugarloaf Mtn was also a lot of fun. We stopped for lunch at a Brazilian meat restaurant and that was certainly a great meal they do like their meat in Brazil. In the afternoon the other couple departed as they had booked a half-day tour, so we switched our vehicle to a Mercedes sedan so we felt special having our own guide and driver. They were able to modify the tour for the afternoon based on traffic and we saw the cathedral and carnival site - we appreciated that they dropped us off at the cruise terminal rather than the hotel downtown where we were picked up. You also gain so much more info about a city when you have a guide - you can always see things on your own but you get so much more out of it when you have someone local who can help provide context and history to what you are looking at. I would recommend this tour.
This was a great full day trip with Kathy...Both Cristo and Sugarloaf were spectacular...along with the other small sites she took us to along the way...
Excellent and #34;value for money and #34; Tour. Brilliant guide Cathy + excellent driver Eduardo. Punctual start so arrived well before the crowds at Christ the Redeemer which was great. Lots of information from Cathy and her willingness to take snapshots for our group was most welcome. Lunch fab Expensive drinks
Great tour that covered everything we wanted to visit. This tour was well-timed to avoid the crowds everywhere we went. We visited Christ the Redeemer site early enough to have the site practically to ourselves. Our guide did a wonderful job.
I really loved this trip! I traveled by myself to Rio and wanted a way to see all the major sites and feel safe doing so. Here's a list of what we did:
Cristo de Redentor first thing- very grateful for this and the statue was clear, we were truly the first group up there to see Him
Tour of Downtown - Sugar Loaf was cloudy, so we decided to check out some other sights while we waited for the weather to clear. Maracana, Sambadromo, Mosteiro de Sao Bento , Rua Catedral Sao and Escardian Selaron were the stops, though other places were pointed out along the way.
Sugar Loaf Mountain - though we were hungry for lunch, the clouds cleared around Sugar Loaf and we visited that instead. Our tour guide helped get us our tickets and it was such an easy and amazing experience.
Late lunch at churrascaria in Copacabana - I was hoping to hit Ipanema with this tour and the stops/shops mentioned in the description- but our group was flexible based on seeing the sights. Lunch was still delicious but we did not make it to Ipanema on this tour.
Our tour guide, Margot, was lovely and very knowledgeable. She had a lot of local/inside information and shared very interesting perspectives. Our driver, Lilo, was always ready to pick us up in a air-conditioned van- and would keep watch of our bags if we didn't want to tote those around.
I was picked up from my hotel lobby at 7:15 AM and was back at my hotel by 4:00 PM. Again, since I only had two days in Rio, this felt like the perfect tour to see it all and in a safe way. Wonderful experience!
This tour of Rio de Janeiro is just awesome!
Thanks to a number of no-shows I enjoyed a VIP tour and Katia, our guide, and Roberto, our driver, really made me feel like a special guest. Katia provided great insights, background information and was always happy to answer questions in perfect English.
Being amongst the first to get up to the Christ statue made up for the early start -
Similarly, the timing for other attractions was just perfect - I never had to wait in queues.
The tour is definitely recommendable for anyone who wants to see highlights of Rio in a comprehensive tour.
A great day with an early start to visit the Corcovado Mountain and Christ Redeemer. Then on to Sugar Loaf Mountain and up to the top by two cable cars with wonderful views. Our guide, Leonardo Scheiner was very knowledgeable and took us to a restaurant in Ipanema for a wonderful lunch. A visit to Copacabana and the lagoon lake was excellent and would recommend this day trip to all.
This tour of Rio de Janeiro is terrific and very enjoyable. All the places and all the things stated
in the brochure were fulfilled to our satisfaction. Our guide, Vincent, picked us up at our hotel on time,
at 7:30 a.m., and went straight to Corcovado Mountain. We were the first one on top of the mountain,
to wander around the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer and watched the spectacular and panasonic
views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and places around. By being early, we avoided the crowd
and was able to take pictures leisurely.
From Corcovado, we moved on to Sugar Loaf Mountain. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain was
very smooth and the scenery around is beautiful. We were given about an hour to roam and shop around.
Then we continue to have our lunch at a trendy restaurant where they don't stop
serving steaks, different kinds of barbeque meats, salads and deserts, until you gave up.
After lunch, we proceeded to see more interesting places in Rio. After the completion of the tour,
we were returned to our hotel. It was a very good tour and thanks to our guide Vincent who is very
articulate and knowledgeable of Rio and Brazil.
Ana was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. It was good to get to Christ the redeemer early due to the crowds. The van was very modern, comfortable and even had wifi and the group was fairly small so it was easy to organise everyone and also be able to ask questions.
Our tour guide Maria made sure we were comfortable and that our tour Rio de Janerio was worth while. I recommend this tour and I can and #39;t wait to head back to Brazil.
Thank you for a very informative and enjoyable day. Victor, our tour guide is highly recommended - funny, help and friendly!
Very good guide- Carmen, good spanish and exelent english and exelent job
This was a great day that was made even better by our tour guide, Carmen. She was informative, thoughtful, thorough, and funny. She knew the best views and helped us get the best pictures. I would both recommend her and go on another tour with her. Thanks for the well-planned tour and the fantastic lunch.
This was a great tour. The guide arrived to pick us up at our hotel on time, after a confirming telephone call 10 minutes beforehand. The guide was knowledgeable and provided great insight onto the city's culture, history, attractions, and a number of other things we inquired about. Lunch was delicious. We saw everything as promised. Excellent tour!!
It was so good, just one word AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Our guide Kiko was just amazing, he let us stay at places we liked for longer. The other members in the group were also very friendly. Food was great. 10/10.
This tour was great. It covered all the major areas and sites of Rio without being overwhelming. Our guide Carmen was very friendly and full of good information. The lunch was amazing- at a real Brazilian churrascaria- but do not eat a large breakfast beforehand. The lunch is huge and you don't want to miss out on trying something because you are too full. I highly recommend this tour. You can't beat it, for the price.
Very enjoyable tour so far. Comprehensive tour topped with an amazing buffet lunch.
This was a most enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Our female guide, whose name I can't recall, but it ended in ITA was absolutely wonderful. The rest of our tour left after the morning, but I would advise those who are considering a tour to stay for the full day. We had an astonishingly spectacular lunch at a Brazilian steakhouse which was fully included in the tour price and in my mind was almost worth the price of the tour. The morning was spent visiting all of the iconic sites of Brazil and our guide got us there before anyone else, which was important because, especially the Christ the Redeemer area, filled with people quickly. The afternoon was devoted to visiting a couple of beautiful churches/cathedrals and a tour of the city. All in all, a wonderful day!
The tour guide was great, the restaurant and food was also good. The whole tour is a success and you can see almost all famous attractions in Rio in few hours highly recommend it.
