While your cruise ship is in port, visit the Christ the Redeemer statue on the top of Corcovado Mountain during this half-day tour. Reach the top of Corcovado Mountain by cog train through the Tijuca Rainforest, an urban forest located just 10 minutes outside the center of Rio. This 5-hour tour, which includes round-trip transportation from the cruise port, allows you to see Rio's most famous sight and still have time to explore on your own.
After pickup from the Rio cruise ship port, meet your tour guide and board your vehicle for the trip to the Cosme Velho station.
Climb aboard the cog train and ride through Tijuca National Park's rainforest to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Enjoy the steep journey through the dense Atlantic forest, watching out for local wildlife along the way.
When you reach the top of the mountain, spend about an hour there. Marvel at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and enjoy views out over Rio and its surroundings. Your guide will provide engaging and informative commentary about the history of the site.
After descending the mountain, explore Pepino and São Conrado beaches, where you can watch surfers and hang gliders take advantage of the tropical wind and waves.
At the end of your 5-hour tour, enjoy drop-off back at the cruise port.Worry-free Shore Excursion:
It was seamless. Good tour in real hot weather. Well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and helped us through the lineups.

Given that we were there for Carnivale and the number of people and traffic was ridiculous, it was a very good tour. The bus driver did an amazing job of negotiating crowds and blocked streets and the guide was very good
Tour went very smoothly and was stress fee - not a lot of queuing for the cog up Corcovado Mountain, and the sight of Christ the Redeemer was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Our trip could not have been nicer. We were picked up at the cruise terminal right on time and I believe there were eight of us from the ms Maasdam. We stopped at a hotel to pick up more people, but none were there, so off to the mountain we went. Our guide (can't remember his name) was just great. This tour took place during Carnival but even with the throngs of people in Rio, everything was very smooth.
I highly recommend your company and this tour.
WOW! The ride up to the statue gave some incredible sights of the city and forest. At the top by the base of the statue was like being on top of the world. The views, the statue....Rio is so blessed to have this as a tour in their city. WOW!!
Very well organized. Everything was on time and very safe.
Viator sent us the wrong pickup information. We were to meet our guide at gate 2 at the port. We waited for a long time but no one showed up. It turned out that the guide was waiting at gate 4 which is now the official pickup spot. As a result we missed the tour. We phoned and were put on the tour scheduled for the same time the next day. But we soon realized that it would not get us back to the boat on time. Kudos to Gray Line, they agreed to include us on an earlier tour which was not scheduled for port pickup. They picked us up at the port and then proceeded to hotel pickups. Despite all the anxiety the tour was excellent, the weather cooperated and the earlier time meant that Christ the Redeemer was not as crowded. Good guide and some stops made in the town to see the painted steps. So all went well in the end.
The half day tour was interesting and informative. It was good!
