What To Expect

Make your way to the Leblon neighborhood of Rio to a small cooking studio for your evening of hands-on learning. Meet your instructor and a small group to begin your Brazilian culinary adventure. No experience is necessary, and you're bound to learn something new about Brazilian cooking and culture whether you're a novice or an expert chef.

Your group will choose between two traditional Brazilian dishes, a popular Pichaha steak class or a Bahian seafood Moqueca. Each choice is accompanied by two appetizers, bottomless caipirinhas, and a simple Brazilian dessert.

Listen as your instructor guides you through the process of making the dish, taking notes if you like. Most of the ingredients used in these dishes can be found all over the world, so you'll be able to recreate them at home.

After the meal is prepared, sit down with your instructor and your new friends to toast your efforts and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Super happy atmosphere, flexibility and friendliness all around. It was a pleasure to learn new recipes with Nicole and would definitely do it again
Nice Evening
Richard_M, Feb 2023
Enjoying a personal evening with Chef Helen learning how to make various Brazilian dishes and drinks.
Helen was wonderful.
Rebecca_C, Feb 2023
Great cooking class with Helen who was fun and informative. Great food. Helen definitely gets a 5 star rating. I am only giving the company a 4 since our original class was cancelled same day due to a different chef personal problem. That left us with a day with no other plans. However, the owner did a great job of service recovery by booking us to another night (with a slight change in menu) and gave us a great bottle of wine which we shared with the other 2 people in the class. I would highly recommend a class with Helen.
Fabulous

Fabulous evening - a real insight into Brazilian life through food. It's a must for visitors to Rio.
Must do cook like a local
Paul_B, Jan 2023
This is a must do. Nicole is a beautiful and welcoming host. The food she planned for the course was a great introduction into some traditional Brazilian dishes as well as giving us an opportunity to cook and learn ourselves. We laughed and had an incredibly fun time. You get time to also chat to the other people in the course so this is a great way to learn more about Rio and can give you tips on other things to do while visiting.
Such a BLAST!

Chef Simone is amazing!!!! She made the whole experience so great!!!! I would most definitely do it again! We all had a great time!!!!
A delightful evening of food, drinks & conversation!
Jocelyn_M, Nov 2022
A delightful and culturally enriching experience. Prior to cooking we enjoyed the caipirinhas we prepared on the rooftop with an amazing view. Patricia, our host, is a great conversationalist. Her beautiful home was the backdrop for not only learning to cook moqueca. We learned to properly pronounce several words/phrases; she provided recommendations for food, entertainment and shopping; and of course step by step instruction on making the primary dishes.
A Must Do!
Vanessa_M, Nov 2022
We had a fantastic evening cooking with Nicole and Manu in their home <3 The dishes we easy to follow and left lots of room for us to chat and learn about our hosts & Brazil. Tags: great hosts, vegan-friendly, good for friends or couples, brazilian home-cooking, boozy (best-caipirinha!)
Best cooking class ever

Cooking class in Rio!
LeahChristiaC_C, Apr 2022
Chef Simone took great care of us during this experience! She taught us a lot about the history of Brazil, the food, the people, and of course taught us how to make delicious snacks, dishes and drinks. I was a little bummed that we were the only two people, I'm used to cooking classes with a bunch of people to share the same experience but nonetheless she was amazing and kept us entertained! She even gave us great recommendations for shopping and more food!
Convivial foodie experience

Lively, cultural evening of food and friends.
Amy_G, Apr 2022
We had so much fun cooking with Chef Simone. She is very dynamic, friendly and speaks great English! We met 3 other people and a good time was enjoyed by all. The food was very fresh and tasty. We brought some of our own wine and that worked out well too. I highly recommend this to learn more about Brazilian cuisine and culture.
Great Experience
RAVEN_S, Mar 2022
Chef Simone was awesome! She had a wealth of information about Brazilian culture. I learned more than expected. She is knowledge about the food culture and even gave meal preparation tips. Only me and another person from my group of 18 decided to book a cooking class and they definitely missed out. The food and Caprihina's we prepared were great! I would definitely recommend this experience.

Simone was absolutely incredible. Extremely friendly and a joy to be around. We spent as much time talking and getting ideas to explore more as cooking. The food was great, but her company was even better. Thanks for making us gringas feel at home! Beijos!!

The way she taught was great she was funny very informative and the meal that we prepared with our own hands we got to eat absolutely delicious. I would give it more than five stars if I could.
