This had to be the best thing on the island!
We had so much fun, there were so many Zip Lines and the beach that they took us to was amazing!! Our tour guides Charly and Dani were excellent ask for them!! They treated us like family visiting from out of town. We got to see the island plus experience the adventure.
We had so much fun and were so excited and overwhelmed, we left without buying our photos. We were too busy talking about how much fun it was and the total experience. I am hoping the company hasn't deleted them yet because I still want to buy them.
I would definitely do it all again. My family cant stop talking about it.
This excursion was the tops of all the ones we did!! Our quides were the best!! One do these one again in a heart beat!!
This was an all around awesome shore excursion! As everyone who has been on a cruise knows, it always makes me a little nervous booking a 3rd party shore excursion and not directly through the cruise line, but I couldn't be happier I did! Not only did I save about 30 compared to a similar shore excursion through the cruise line, but the quality of the excursion was second to none.
My wife and I were a bit nervous as we exited the port into the mass of independent vendors outside the gates, but we just followed the instructions provided by Viator and found our tour guide Craig with little difficulty. Craig then directed us to the Zipline operation where Max aka Superman and Quinn got us equipped and ready for our Zipline adventure. They then guided us through the maze of 16 ziplines that weaved through the beautiful jungle scenery. The ziplines ranged from around fifty to several hundred feet long. It was an absolute blast! Also, from what I understand, if you book through the cruise line, due to liability reasons you can only go in a sitting position. Since this was not through the cruise line, we were able to go sitting, sideways, upside-down, anyway we wanted! After a couple of lessons from Superman, I even have a great video of me doing a flip off of one of the launching pads on to the zipline!
After we finally reached the end of the final zipline, Max and Quinn removed our equipment and showed us to the monkey park where we got some great pictures with some monkeys and parrots. Some friends of ours booked a shore excursion through the cruise line that included an up close and personal monkey experience, but when they got there all of the animals were in cages and they were told not to touch any of them. We got to hold the monkeys and birds!
After enjoying a couple of local beers, we met back up with our guide Craig and he took us to Paradise Beach. I'm not sure if it was Craig's personal vehicle or a company vehicle, but it was standard mid-sized car that we took to Paradise Beach. It was a bit of a drive, about 45-60 minutes from the zipline operation, but he told us all about the island and the Honduran culture along the way which made the drive seem much shorter. The nice thing was that it was only Craig the guide, my wife and I, and one other couple in the car so we could ask him all the questions we wanted to. Paradise Beach was beautiful. My only complaint here would be that it was a bit crowded and there a lot of vendors trying to sell you things. None of them were rude or overly pushy, but there were a lot of them so we were constantly being asked if we wanted to but something. Without us having to tell him, Craig was aware of what our ship's All Aboard time was and said he would make sure we got back no later than one hour before then, and he sure did.
Without a doubt, I would recommend this shore excursion to everyone! Craig, Maxx, Quinn, and everyone else did everything they could to make sure we had a great time. Everyone we talked to in general in Roatan was very friendly, and we hope to return in the near future!
Awesome excursions. We didnt do the beach portion. There is an extra charge to even go on the beach.
OMG... The Best Zip Line Ever at Jungle Top. Just a 3 minute walk from the cruise ship for Amazingly fun Zip Lines. Our Guides were Andy, Peter and William they were the Best of the Best... Fun and Zip Line Acrobats. They show you incredible move for jumping off the platforms and now its up to you how your adventure will go. Will you dare to zip line upside down? you can if you want to... but if you book a zip line tour from the cruise ship they will have rules and more rules. This is the best journey up on a Pick up truck bumpy fun ride. Lots and Lots of platforms! Great Uva grape soda at the bar. They have lockers and a fun capuchin monkey encounter and a very cool spider monkey. You get a great tour of Roatan by private van instead of 40 people on a bus. Your choice of a Resort Beach or Public Beaches The staff if Great! This is a DO NOT MISS Zip Line Excursion!!!
