For guests staying on the island, we will pick you up and return you to your lodging accommodations. Be sure to provide us with the NAME and LOCATION (or Airbnb or VRBO listing website address) of where you're staying! Roatan has two Cruise Ship Terminals -- Please check below for meeting location for your arrival dock below: 1) Port of Roatan Cruise Terminal (NCL, RCI, MSC, etc.): As you exit your ship, Pass the Shopping Plaza stores. Take a right at the restrooms past the shops and wrap-around building to the Independent Tours booths. Look for the Victor Bodden Tours Kiosk -- You'll see our VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs and uniformed employees at Kiosk #1 at the port's Independent Tours area. One of our representatives will greet you at the kiosk, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day. 2) Mahogany Bay Cruise Center (Carnival, Princess, AIDA, Costa, Holland American, P&O, etc): As you exit your ship, customers on Local Independent Tours will be required by Carnival Corporation to exit their dock area through the gates and walk over the hill to the main road. Once outside the gates and over the hill, look for our representatives holding VICTOR BODDEN signs. One of our representatives will greet you, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day. At the end of your tour day, we ARE able to drop you off to the entrance of the dock...so you will only have to do this long walk one-way, when you first arrive. a. Once you are outside the cruise compound, look for the VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs and shirts!! b. The Port Manager of the Mahogany Bay Cruise Center has negotiated with the on-site Taxi Association to provide transportation, if required, to the Independent Tours meeting area. Please see the Taxi Dispatcher (in the Green Mahogany Bay shirt) to arrange for your group to utilize this service -- tell them that you need the shuttle service to Victor Bodden Tours on the other side of the hill. Or, if you'd rather, you can still walk over the hill (approximately 350 yards) to the designated area.

We appreciated the transportation to each of the stops. We loved the zip-lining. It had 10 stations, and they were substantial in length. It was so fun once we were zip-lining; however, our group was almost 30 people. That was too big. We had to wait 30 minutes at the beginning at the top because the guides weren’t there. Then, at the end, we had to all crowd onto one platform. It was just a lot of people in one group. After zip lining, we headed to the sloths. Wow, that was a unique experience. The guides made sure everyone got to hold one and get pics. We also got to interact with monkeys who jumped on us. Finally, we ended up at the beach club. We bought lunch there and it was decent. The club was nice enough; however, you have to get used to locals trying to sell things to you. Overall, we were very happy with this tour.

Pretty terrible - the animals allowed a 1 star

This was probably one of the most disorganized tours I’ve been on ever. It started out rough when we got to port (came in on NCL). There were so many tour guides hustling everyone finding the kiosk or booth was a bit challenging. Once we did (it didn’t take long) we were told to go find another person wearing a branded T-shirt in the taxi area. We did that and were told to wait under a gazebo. We arrived to the meeting place on time but stood under this gazebo for 30+ mins waiting for transportation. Once in the van it was discovered our local guide (although very nice) spoke little to no English. I don’t remember his name but again very nice. We were taken to a pretty crummy hilltop with little weird shopping booths / stands then onto the zip / monkey / sloth. The animals were great (more than just monkeys and sloths). The next stop was the zip line which was in the same area. As we prepared for the zip line our van tour guide offered to hold my backpack in the van. I was apprehensive at first since it had our passports, money etc. I gave it to him anyway. We did the zip line - the guides wanted an extra $20 each (2 guides) for tips. Photos are offered too but the quality is pretty terrible. When finished we went to grab my backpack for the $40 owed to the guides only to discover the van was GONE including my backpack! GONE. I went to the checkin desk and they had no idea where the driver was, the van or my things. They kept asking me who the driver was and I had no idea. Eventually they made some calls and the van showed backup and had our things. The driver said they left after dropping us off to take people to the beach. We then proceeded to get in the van to the beach. We were told we would be there 45 mins - which then turned into 1.5 hours. When then turned into mass panic from other people on the tour (another ship with us) because they needed to be back 2 hours earlier than we did and the van driver would not take them back. People from the other ship were screaming at the driver / scared / panicked / worrying they were going to miss departure. We just sat there in our van seat listening and watching the chaos ensue. This could all have been resolved with an English speaking guide I think or definitely better planning from the tour guide. All-in-all, we tipped $40 to the zip line people, $40 to the guide who took us around the animals and $10 to the van driver / guide. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not. There are other tours that will take you zip lining and to see animals. Best of luck!

We strive to ensure that each one of our tours and experiences is maintained to the highest standard, so I’m disappointed to read that may have fallen short. Please rest assured that we will use your feedback to ensure that that any possible problems encountered during the tour are noted and fixed. With regard to the tour assembly area, we provide a map which is provided within your confirmation email that was sent to you in last month. Although this is the first complaint we have received about not being able to locate us, I will see if we can further clarify the information provided to assure that you are more easily able to locate our tour assembly area. Also noted in our tour confirmation, on the map and in subsequent contact-messages, meeting 15 minutes prior to your tour's departure helps relieve any stress that you may have perceived as disorganization. We've been doing our tours since 2003 and there's not much left for us to organize...one of our largest problems is the appearance of disinterest from doing these same tours day-after-day for almost 20 years! For your backpack, you were offered to have it locked in your tour van or use one of our free on-site "day lockers" I'm sorry that you didn't know your guide's name or what the van looked like after your wonderful experience at the zipline and animal encounters. Vehicles move for easier tour unloading-and-loading, and knowing your guide's name and what the van looked like may have sped up the process of locating your "lost" belongings. I'm going to meet with our guides to find out why you were informed your beach time would be 45 minutes. It is always a couple of hours with this tour. Sorry for the inconvenience of an extra 30 minutes at the beach and we hope to get this fixed for future guests. Also, no other guests reported a foreign-language screaming match, so I will need to gather more information and contact some of the other guests that were on your ship's tour before I'm able to comment. Sure sounds like it traumatized you as you sat in the van, and for that I am truly sorry. Thank you again for your feedback. I’m very sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations and would love the opportunity to regain your trust. Please let me know the next time your planning on visiting Roatan and I’ll make sure that your tour not only meets, but exceeds your expectations. Best Day On Our Trip!!!

We spent an entire week on a cruise boat, traveling the beautiful seas of the Caribbean, and this was hands down the favorite activity of our cruise trip. We were picked up (over the hill outside the cruise area - just as described to us in the info email they sent) with a group of other cruisers. We first stopped at a lookout with some small shops. It was cool to see the landscape of Roatan from up high. We then drove 20 minutes to the Zip Line / Animal Sanctuary (they are in the same location). There were 11 zip lines, the guides were absolutely a blast! They were fun and funny and kept the group safe and entertained as we went. The ziplines did not require any participate hand braking, they did that for you with their 'slow down' catch system. It was a great trip and by far the best zip-lining experience I have had. We then went and met our guide for the animal sanctuary. We got to hold sloths (sadly the sloth didn't really like me haha, kept trying to get away) and monkeys and we saw other animals too. After this delightful morning of fun, we were taken to the West End beach where we had our own beach chairs ready for us at the Banarama / Pizzarama restaurant. They have a rope barrier that prevents sellers to approach your chair which was great. The beach was beautiful, lots of fun things to eat and buy. Little to no waves, pure clarity in the water, it was paradise! I think this was the only location I wished we didn't have to leave to back onto the cruise boat! 10/10 would recommend this tour!

I loved seeing my family enjoy their ride on the zip line. My husband and I had a private tour of the animals while the family zipped. So, so loved the sloths, especially Priscilla. Finally, going to the beach was a great last part to the tour. This is a Must-DO in Roatan. Great job Bodden Tours.

Sloths and Monkeys were awesome and the handlers were very sensitive with the animals. You can tell they're very passionate for the care of their animals which felt great. The zipline was fun but we spent a lot of time waiting on each platform for the guides to come and let us off of each one.

My 16 year old son and I had a great time. He loved the speed of the zip lines and I loved the going through the forest canopy and then the great views. This course it set up well to make participants stop exactly where the guides what them to finish each line. I’m a pilot and safety and procedures are my thing, and this group of guides was very methodical and they explained themselves, answered questions, and ensured each person understood what was expected before riding a line. The monkeys were awesome, silly, and great fun to interact with. We went at our pace and had a great time. I look forward to another Viator’s adventure when we return!

I originally had a zipline booked through our cruise. Cancelled that upon seeing this tour that included the sloth and animal encounter. Very glad that we did because we had an amazing day! Everything was as advertised. Comfortable ride to and from the park. Once arriving the staff was friendly and attentive to detail. The zipline was a blast! Our guide in the animal sanctuary did not rush at all. He helped capture some very memorable photos from our experience. Lastly, the beach as a great finish to the day. Everything was well organized. The only thing I would have done different was to have had a little more cash on hand for tipping. Plan to tip the zipline crew, the animal guide and your driver. All of these guys worked hard to deliver a wonderful experience. Plan to buy the pictures too as another way to support their business. Definitely recommend this for all age groups. You won’t regret it!

The experience with the zip line was phenomenal. The guides were very detail oriented and super friendly. You will have about 8 to 9 lines to zip across going up and back down total. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

Our driver/guide Jerry was amazing! He was extremely knowlegeable and helped negotiate deals! We skipped the zip, but the sloth/monkey santuary was great with the most amazing popsicles. The beach was crystal clear!!!

I love ziplining and had the opportunity to do so after 5 days of diving. I signed up on Thursday evening and got confirmation of my pickup time early the next day. Armando was both my driver and guide - and the treat was that because of the pandemic - I was the only one ziplining and doing the tour. Armando did a great job and was very engaging conversation wise. We had a fun time zip lining and then got to see the Monkey's, Sloth and Macaws. I got to hold each of them and had a great time videoing/photographing it.

I gave this a 5 star because it is a wonderful excursion; however, our tour guide returned us to the ship 1 1/2 hours early which we did not want or request. We were expecting another hour on the beach. It was quite disappointing to have the beach portion cut short when she had told us we would return to be on the ship at 3:30.

My girlfriends and I had such an amazing time! The staff made the experience. One of my guests had a torn ACL injury and they were so understanding and patient with her. They were fun, lively and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Zip lining and the animal park were a ton of fun, staff at each stop went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Our driver/guide Big Al was incredible. Taught us a lot about the island and showed us some beautiful spots.

We had a group of 14 who purchased tickets for this. We all had the very best time! The air conditioned bus kept us comfortable on the drive to and from. The large windows gave us the chance to see the gorgeous land as we passed by. First we went through the animal area and had a chance to hold a sloth (incredible!), let a bird walk on our head and got to give a Capuchin monkey a chance to sit on our shoulder. Great photo opportunities. We then went up and they got us ready for the zip lining. They checked and double checked our harnesses and did a great job explaining what we needed to do to be safe. There were 10 zip lines in all and it was the most fun! They encouraged you to do a couple "stunts" on the way but no forcing - it was all so so much fun. Of the 3 excursions we took on this trip, this was by far my favorite. Thank you so much!
