This was a fantastic experience. It was about one year ago today that we did this tour.
We were travelling with our 9 year old daughter and she still talks about this day!

First of all, we were late arriving and in full panic mode! And to top it off we couldn't find our guide outside the metro stop which was very busy. But we started asking other guides if they new her. Finally we found her! She was with the other family from Australia that would make up our group for the afternoon. They had a little girl our daughter's age and a little boy. We didn't know what to expect except for what we read in the description and reviews provided on this website.

WOW! Were we blown away! Our guide was incredible! Upon arrival at the Colosseum she handed each child a clip board and then explained to them that they would be collecting information over the next few hours and being quizzed, and based on their score on the quiz earning points towards prizes! Well, the kids were happy to say the least! Over the course of the afternoon they learned tonnes of history and won tonnes of prizes! Our guide had so much information to tell us and kept it all very interesting, even the kids were engaged throughout the whole afternoon.

The Roman Forum was great as well. Lots of cool history and again, she kept all of us totally engaged. She was supposed to wrap up the tour around 4:30PM and she didn't leave us until about 6:30PM. She really had a lot of great knowledge and all of us adults were so impressed with the way she was able to hold all of our attention. At no time did I think... I wish this was over.....

i would highly recommend this tour to anyone of any age. Lots of great info. An experience you won't soon forget!

Alessandra was an amazing guide - she kept us and our hot and tired 9 year old enthralled with her stories, knowledge and enthusiasm. Charlie loved her to bits and she was flexible and understanding and it will be a day we will always remember - thank you.

Alessandra went WAY above and beyond to ensure my family had the most outstanding tour of the Colosseum. She was patient and kind with the kids and kept the information interesting for everyone in our tour. We were only with 1 other family which made it very easy to stay together and to always hear what was going on. Alessandra is amazing and we highly recommend this tour!!!

This was a tour we scheduled for our 5 and 8 year old daughters. Alessandra was kind and patient and kept the kids entertained with stories about the history of the Colosseum and the Forum. There was plenty for adults to learn as well. It was the perfect amount of time and on the flight home our 8 year old said it was the highlight of our week in Italy. It was really hot and Alessandra made sure we found shade, water and the pace/tempo of the tour kept moving but with plenty of time to rest and take pictures. We had two other families with us and it was fun for our daughters to meet kids from other countries and have fun with them in these amazing ancient sites.
Overall this was exactly what we had hoped it would be....a great history lesson, geared towards our daughters but engaging and fun for our whole family. Plus, just to skip the lines and not have to wait was worth the price.

Silvia was an amazing tour guide. Lots of information and very organized. We were a family of four with kids 13 and 15 and they had tons of great questions for her, which she easily answered.

This tour was one of our favorites. Even the young children were in awe at what they saw and heard. Our guide was so cute with the kids and held their attention with her IPad, explaining everything in detail.

We had a small group with one other family which was nice. Our guide was a very nice woman. She was good and attentive to the kids. However, I felt like it was a well rehearsed routine and she couldn't really answer questions that were asked off script. My 7 yr old son did remember several facts that he learned about the Colosseum to tell his teacher when he got back to school. The kids enjoyed it, but weren't as engaged or entertained for the duration of the tour as I had hoped. Next time, I will engage a private and professional guide for about the same price.
