Go back in time to the days of ancient Rome on this walking tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. With a knowledgeable guide, avoid the entrance queue at the Colosseum with skip-the-line admission, and go inside to explore the amphitheater and hear stories about gladiators and Roman emperors. Then head to Palatine Hill for a view of Circus Maximus, and see the ruins of the Roman Forum. This tour is limited to 18 people.

Our first visit to Rome and it may be a while until we come again so I wanted to make the most of our few days here. I highly recommend this way to enjoy walking through the ancient city (we went in October) with an excellent guide. Well worth the money in making Rome come alive (and skip the queues).
The tour with Ilaria was okay but pretty functional. I am not sure if she was having an off day, but much of what she said was functional but lacking in exciting or insightful details that would have made the tour of one of the worlds most amazing cities memorable. I am sure what she told us and what we saw was part of the tour, but compared to our recent tour of Firenze this was very functional.
What was disappointing was that despite there being 6 kids aged 4 to 15 in a group of 18 so 1/3rd kids she made no effort to engage the children, tell them interesting anecdotes or keep them interested with little insights which is what I would expect for a 45 per person tour.
A shame but I could not recommend this tour
Our guide Georgio was amazing, he really knew everything about the Coliseum and Ancient Rome. We learned so much on our tour and even bought a little before and after book to remember what he said. Be aware that the tour is a little longer than most so bring water and a snack :) (we spent 3.5 hours but that might have been due to the bathroom break lines being so long). All in all we had a great time and learned a lot! highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Georgio
My husband and I booked this trip in advance before we went to Rome. We passed the line of people without reservations and it really long so you need to book a tour. It was an amazing tour and worth it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because they changed the time by 25 mins the night before our tour. It was a little annoying to change it last minute and we had to run to our next tour with no time really in between. It was really a sight to see!
Dennis our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, he sounds like a history professor that loves what he does and could not stop. I think this tour was supposed to be 3 hours but he only stopped at 3 hours 35 mins because we had teens in the group. For us, it was awesome as we are history buffs, answered all our questions about ancient Rome, even questions about other sites in Rome. I wholly recommend this tour. This ranked as the top two tours we took and we took about 8 tours in Italy and Dennis easily is ranked as our best tour guide.
This was one of our favorite tours during our 2 week vacation! The guide was incredible since he is a lifetime Rome resident and an Archaeologist! He was super knowledgeable and funny! Our group of 8 enjoyed this tour immensely!
