Great tour, perfect at night and completely different from the daytime tour. We had a smallish group and our guide was archeologist so we got great information and it was very personalized. Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in Romes history. it was quite an experience to see the underground at the colleseum at night.
This was one of the best tours we have ever done. Seeing the Colosseum as the sun sets is a magnificent experience we won't forget in a hurry. Truly recommend this night tour to any traveller who enjoys something different.

Excellent tour. Being in the basement of the colosseum was amazing. This is the area animals and slaves were kept before being sent to their doom. There is a working model of the type of elevator used to take them up to the arenas surface. The tunnel to the gladiator barracks has been excavated but is not open..
Anna Maria was a very knowledgeable guide. Great walking tour of the Capetaline, fab views of the forum at night and felt like a VIP in the Colesseum accessing the underground areas and the arena level. Highly recommended though I don't think they run this particular tour in the winter. The night time makes for spectacular pictures Plenty of walking so put comfy shoes on.
It was a good tour. There is a lot of walking before actually getting to the Colosseum and by the time we did arrive there I was exhausted, but the tour around Rome was still good. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, but at times hard to keep up with walking. Overall, I enjoyed myself! I was initially apprehensive about doing a night tour, but the evening experience turned out to be a good thing. The Colosseum experience was amazing!
We did not do this tour but had to reschedule for the next day and did a day tour because we did not find the group in time. The day tour that we took was amazing! Our guide, Laura, was very knowledgeable about the facts and was very descriptive in relating important information to the sights we were viewing and the history related to this incredible building. After this site, we moved on to the Forum which we found interesting. We had toured this site ourselves several years ago but had no idea of the important info that one needs to fully appreciate a site such as this.
Our tour guide was really really knowledgeable and educated, I believe a professor at local University. She teaches you quite a bit about several other sites en route to the Colosseum. Bring your walking shoe, you cover a couple miles at least. It was really cool being in the Colosseum practically free of tourists. Buy a pass and see it in the day too, worth it pass is good for the Forum too.
Tour guide was excellent! We have never been guided tour type people but this was really worth it!
Well worth spending the extra Money to do a night tour, have visited in the day and shuffled round with the crowds. Big plus with this as well, you get to go to the areas that most never see . Great guide
Excellent tour with knowledgeable and helpful guide. Well worth the money.
On a wet and thundery night we were guided by Danielle through the Roman forum and the colosseum on a great tour. This is a must do tour as we as a a small group had the colosseum to ourselves at night. Danielle being an archeologist and having worked on the site provided fantastic insight into the ruins. Fantastic.
This tour is a must. To walk the historic sites at night and to have a small guided group tour through the colosseum was priceless. The knowledgeable tour guide, the easiness of finding the location for the beginning of the tour and a taxi after the tour reduced the anxiety of being out at night. The use of the headsets is a marvelous tool to make sure you walk at your own pace, but can continue to hear every word

This was a really fun tour and it was great to see these beautiful landmarks lit up at night. Christina did a wonderful job giving us some of the back stories of the Forum and the Colosseum. The underground part of the Colosseum was particularly interesting. My only suggestion is that, with the crowds, it would have been nice for Christina to have held something up high so that we could know where she was. It was easy to get separated. Minor point, though. I never felt left behind or lost. You should be ready for a fair amount of walking. We had several in our group who were obviously not prepared for that and had a hard time. The Colosseum is not crowded at all on these night tours, so that made it extra special. Christina also had great recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area. Highly recommend.
Brilliant, informative and well worth going at night ...much quieter than the day-time bedlam. Everything looked spectacular lit up. The best thing to do in Rome probably.
Very informative, and great to explore without the crowds/hot sun!
Awesome night tour! We had the Colosseum basically to ourselves. There was only another small group. The access to the arena and to the undergrounds were pretty amazing! We highly recommend the night tour.
Excellent tour with a noticeable lack of crowds! A bit too much time spent around The Wedding Cake. I would have liked to have spent more time at the Colusseum. It is beautiful at night and limited number of people are allowed in. Tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable. She was actually one of the archeologists who discovered one of the statues on exhibit there. A great way to see this amazing place!
Paolo was my guide, meeting at Trajan's column we walked to Coliseum. Got really eerie night shots of Forum. He answered all questions no matter how stupid, this is the sign of a great guide, respectfully and completely. Very informative.
Our tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Going down below at night was amazing. Find the tour itself was a challenge. Suggest a map with a dot indicating where the meeting place is located.
This was incredibly cool not only was our tour guide well spoken and informative, but to be in the Colosseum without any lines or crowds at night while soaking up the sights was more than worth it.
Great way to see the Colosseum by night. Our guide knew her history and made ancient Rome come alive.
Loved seeing the Colosseum at night! Less crowded and seeing the underground walkways are a bonus.
Fabulous. Gave me shivers - very emotional. we were the first tour into the coliseum in the evening, so it was almost silent. Guide was great - an archaeologist who had actually worked on the roman digs, including those of the coliseum - she was very passionate and knowledgeable. this was the best part of the holiday. Highly recommend it..
We were so lucky to be able to do this tour! No crowds, very good guide, saw many things most people do not get to see in the Colosseum and the ancient forum.
