Get an early start to your sightseeing at the Vatican Museums with admission before opening hours. Follow an expert guide through the complex before the general public and avoid the crowds during your 3-hour tour. Marvel at Michelangelo's world-renowned works at the Sistine Chapel and enjoy privileged, skip-the-line access to the awe-inspiring St Peter's Basilica.
Azura, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very upbeat. I highly recommend this tour though early access does not necessarily mean smaller crowds. My only suggestion is for the tour company to upgrade their audio components I missed a large part of Azura's commentary.
Our guide Azzura was great. Very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm was contagious. It was so crowded though, it made the experience over all a bit daunting. We thought the early morning tour would be less crowded, but not so. I think the Jubilee had a bit to do with it.
This tour was perfect. We really appreciated being able to see the Vatican prior the massive crowds. Our tour guide was delightful, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. We would recommend this tour to all.
Starts very early, but worth it for the slightly smaller crowds although still very crowded. Meeting point wasn't too clear: it's across the street from the museum at the top of the stairs.
Our guide Chiara did a great job with the history of the Vatican and symbolism in the artwork, pointing out a lot of little features we otherwise would have missed. The tour also made it easier to cover the highlights of the museum without spending the whole day there. Pace was good, and the headsets made it reasonably easy to hear everything.
This tour was amazing!
Incredible! Guide was detailed and allowed substantial time for us to ask questions and discover the site on our own in certain places. Perfectly done!
Incredible Guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and allowed us enough time to walk thru the Sistine Chapel on our own. Perfect for a first time visit to Rome.
Although billed as a small group tour, 25 people were part of our group. Larger than we had anticipated. Despite that, we had a lovely and informative guide who walked us through history of the church, the buildings, the artwork with a flair. He was helpful and informative at every turn. The Vatican is indeed a city and learning it's ins and outs was fascinating!
This tour is worth if for no other reason than to bypass the lines. Unfortunately for us, when we arrived at 7:15am, we learned that the Basilica was closed for a special event. And then St Peters Square was roped off so we could only walk around the perimeter and had to wait til 11:00 just for that. Just bad unpredictable timing. If that hadn't occurred, we would have rated it 5 stars.
Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was worth paying the money to go in early as the lines to get in are extremely long! Very beautiful to see and we learned alot!
