Overview

Get a gladiator’s eye-view of the Colosseum, then explore the Roman Forum on a 3-hour walking tour of Ancient Rome. With a skip-the-line ticket, you’ll avoid the long entrance lines and access the arena via the Gladiator’s Gate. Stand where gladiators once fought, hear tales of ruthless crowds and emperors, then explore the Colosseum’s first level with your guide. Finish with a tour of Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, with stories that bring the ruins to life.

  • 3-hour Colosseum and Roman Forum tour
  • Skip the line for fast-track entry to the Colosseum
  • Enter via the Gladiator’s Gate and stand in the arena
  • Learn about the gladiators and the battles they fought
  • Explore the Colosseum’s first level to see where the crowds cheered
  • Take a tour of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

Make your own way to the Colosseo metro station in Rome to meet your guide at 8:45am. When your group is together, you’ll start your tour at 9am.

Walk over to the Colosseum with your skip-the-line ticket in hand, then bypass the main entrance lines to head straight inside the arena via the Gladiator’s Gate. Transporting you back in millennia, your guide regales you with stories of the gladiators who fought here to their death.

From the arena, you’ll head up to the first floor to see where the bloodthirsty Roman crowds bayed, and gaze out over Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum — your next stop.

Leave the Colosseum, and walk over to the forum as you hear tales of imperial-era Rome. Wander around the main ruins and monuments of the ancient plaza, which was a center of political activity in the city’s heyday.

After three hours exploring Ancient Rome, you’ll finish your tour near the Roman Forum.

We really enjoyed the tour. Maria was an excellent guide, her enthusiasm was infectious, she made the tour unique by involving everyone in the group including 2 young children, ensuring that we had the best views at every point. Entering through the gladiator gate was an added dimension, and no queuing was an added bonus. Worth every penny and one of the highlights of our trip, thank you again Maria

This tour is very worthwhile! Our tour guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly. The group size is just right. We didn't wait in the long lines to get into the Colosseum, instead going through the Gladiator entrance which is quite stunning. Plenty to see, lots of great picture opportunities and well priced compared to other tours offering exclusive access. Highly recommend!

Absolutely exceptional tour! We've been fortunate to travel to may places in the world, and have used many private/public guides, and this was by far one of the best! Our guide was knowledgeable trained archaeologist, extremely enthusiastic about sharing what he knew what a difference this makes!, and very very personable. Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide!

Tour is also extensive - you don't just cover the actual Colosseum, but also many of the structures surrounding it.

Bravo!

Overall very nice tour. The tour guide was entertaining and gave us some valuable information. If you are going to see the Colosseum in Rome I advise you to take a tour. We took the 3 hour tour that gave a good overview of both the Colosseum and the Palatine Palace. After the interesting tour we were ready for shopping. Overall I would take the tour guide again.
