Lovely half day trip away from Rome, beautiful waterfalls and unspoiled Hadrian’s villa. I was traveling alone and also made a friend on this tour.
Good tour! It is very compressed with time but enough to see both sites.
Great trip. Tour guide was fun and personable. Much interesting information! The trip is a half day and perfect for the two places visited. The tour company was great and very organized. I highly recommend them.
Was a wonderful experience! Would go again! Be prepared for some walking :
Excellent tour. Thoughtful guide who knew her subject very well. If I get the opportunity in the future I would consider the whole day tour.
Highly recommend. The background our tour guide provided was historical, interesting, and brought the sites to life. With its fountains, Villa d'Este was beautiful. The size and quality of the ruins of Hadrian's Villa suggest a very advanced and civilized emperor. In its 2nd century, Hadrian's villa must really have been a masterpiece. This was a wonderful tour.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this tour but I am so glad I did it! The views at Villa d'Este were amazing--those waterfalls!!! And then we went to Hadrian's Villa afterwards and it was such a massive piece of land, very impressive. I opted for the hotel pick up and on our way back, we were supposed to all be dropped off at the office but the guide was kind enough to drop us off at one of the stations along the way. Overall, great time and would definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved this tour ... much as I love Rome, it was wonderful to leave the city for a while and see more of Italy. Villa d'Este was stunning, and Hadrian's Villa was extraordinary. I really want to return to both sites in a future trip to Italy.
I enjoyed this half day trip! The monastery and fountains were fantastic! Then to see Hadrian's Villa and think of the individuals that walked there was a great experience!
Well worth it, and as just half day, not too tiring for older people.
We very much enjoyed the tour to Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este..it is a half day trip and the meet up was easy to find. We visited Hadrian's Villa first and it was nice to be out of the city and to be somewhere where there were no crowds of tourists...it is a remarkable site and our guide was very informative. This is a tour where there is a good deal of walking so you need to be mobile to enjoy it to the fullest..Villa d'Este is an incredible site and the drive up to it, is simply magnificent...I had been there many years ago and had recalled its beauty..I was not disappointed...it is again, a remarkable site to visit...again, it is wonderful to be in a place where it is cooler than the city and the crowds are smaller...there are nice shops and cafes to enjoy a cool drink near by...the countryside from the Villa is a sight to behold...the bus trip is a relatively short distance from Rome....proper walking shoes a must and be sure to take water...
Great trip, not far from Rome, but not for people with mobility issues. Long uphill walk to get to Hadrian's Villa. Signed up for your in English but was actually done in up to 4 languages. However, this really didn't have any negative effect.
This was a wonderful tour. Our guide Luigi was very knowledgeable He was so excited about what he was showing us that his enthusiasm was contagious. The Domus Aurea was amazing and very well presented Afteer the tour he walked a group of us to the forum, pointing out historical places along the way
I was very impressed with the tour and the tour guide. I was amazed how she switched languages to accommodate the tour participants. The background she provided on the bus and at the two sites we visited was thorough and interesting. I do wish we had more time at the Villa.
Hadrian's Villa and Tivoli are just an hour away from Rome and are beautiful spots. The expanse of each of these places just blew my mind. The ideal time to visit the Villa d'Este may be in February when the flowers are in bloom and the gardens look prettier.
Very beautifull and storical place, we would like to spend more time there.
Blown away by the scale of the Villa and its grounds, def worth the trip
After multiple failed attempts to visit Hadrian's Villa on my own from Rome via public transportation, I finally broke down and booked this tour. I highly recommend this tour to all history lovers and for those who are looking to explore the area right outside of Rome. The Villa d'Este was gorgeous and the fountains were very impressive. Hadrian's Villa was huge and I'm glad to have finally crossed this Villa off my list of sites to see.
