The Skip-the-Line Tours are the best way to see Colosseum as it is very crowded. Our tour guide was very informative and made sure we were able to see the best of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Very Impressive. The only downside was, we had a hard time finding the office to start the tour and were late because we kept asking for directions and were sent to 4 different places before we finally found the office. But even though the tour had already left, the staff was very accommodating and was able to get us to our tour guide so we did not miss anything. We would recommend this tour. Note, it is a lot of walking, bring water and wear comfy shoes!!!
Diego was our guide and he was very good! Very knowledgeable and funny. The only uncomfortable thing is the tour company wanted to keep our ID or last case our room key until we were finished with the tour. No other tour companies did this and I dont understand why they did this nor did they tell us why.
This was a truly exceptional experience made all the more enjoyable and informative by Chiara, our tour guide. Chiara spoke excellent english, was extremely knowledgable, friendly, with a great sense of humour and went more than the extra mile to make sure everyone enjoyed the tour. We spent just over 3.5 hours touring the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum and Chiara encouraged everyone to ask questions as we went along, never rushing and explaining in detail the history of every area. We couldn't recommend this tour enough, especially if Chiara is the guide.
