Fantastic wine tasting in the heart of Rome!
We arrived half an hour late but our sommelier Luca was waiting for us in the restaurant still. The restaurant was cosy and accommodating for the tasting. Luca was very intuitive and helpful guiding us through each wine and pairing. Highly recommended!
This wine and cheese tasting was fun and informative. We had a fantastic time! Lucca was fantastic.
This is not just a Wine and Cheese tasting, it was a real education on how and why wines are paired. I learned a lot from Luca our sommelier on the DNA of grapes and how and why they interact to certain foods in different ways. I used to like to drink wine but now with the knowledge supplied by Luca I relay enjoy it at a totally new level.
Nice end to a great vacation. Sampled 3 wines and experienced how each tasted with various meat and cheeses. The trick is in the color matching!
What a great evening with fun people and a great host. Learned a lot about wine and cheese and and even some great tips on what to see and do. Especially nice was that there was no push or even an offer to purchase anything - this is NOT a wine-tasting where they are really just a front to sell you a bottle. The location is also close to the Colosseum and the Forum area so was nice to have an evening stroll after the event. A great relaxing evening I highly recommend.
We scheduled this event as a way to end start time is approx 6pm our day in Rome. Our local host for this event was Luca. He is very engaging and shared much about the wine industry in Italy as background for the wines/cheeses/meats that were used for the tasting. He did a great job of answering questions from our small group 6 total and used those to help us to better understand how pairing the correct wine and food together can enhance the enjoyment of both. You meet at a small restaurant/wine bar in the center section of Rome and the event lasts a little over a hour. Highly recommended for those open to learning more about Italian wine.
Really nice experience and value for money. The sommelier Luca was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended as a afternoon/ evening activity with friends or family.
We really learned a lot about wine and Italy as a whole. Definitely recommend.

We had a very informative guide, she shared a lot of information about the different wine regions in Italy and types of wine. My boyfriend and I did this tour and very much enjoyed the food and wine paring.
Small group presentation with lots of local and regional history and wine growing details. Good wine and food, easy to get there since it and #39;s right on Cavour.

Really great host and the venue is lovely. The wine was delicious and I was surprised at the amount of food they gave us! I wasn't expecting that much. The talk on the wine was really interesting and encouraged us to go to one of the cities in the region to check it out! Really great value for money!
We had fun and tasted some great wine. Our Viennese guide was very informative
Massimo was very informative and is able to speak well about all aspects of wine and wine making. Located in the center of the town and close to wonderful sites to visit. We stayed for dinner after the tasting and enjoyed it greatly. Massimo is a great host.
We had a great experience and learned much about Italian wine and regions that produce it.
This tasting was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend it. This restaurant is a hole in the wall off of the main streets of Rome so come prepared with good directions. It was just the two of us at the tasting and our guide/owner of the restaurant, Massimo, was very informative, engaging, and overall a sincerely nice guy. He gave us solid background and a deeper understanding of the different types of wines we tried and the regions where they came from. We enjoyed the wine, atmosphere, and service so much that we decided to stay for dinner, and were glad we did! We each ordered pasta dishes and they were both fantastic. My boyfriend prefers beer to wine, and Massimo paired him with a delicious craft beer to go with dinner. Very, very good!
We did this tasting on our first evening in Rome. It was very low-key but fun. The wine bar where it's held is a neat little place tucked way on a side street (and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we went back there for wine on our own a few days later). The owner of the bar and the woman giving the class/tasting were both very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines and cheeses were delicious, as well!
Fantastic. Great wines, cheeses and company, held in a great wine bar in the back streets of Rome.
Ursula was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend an hour after sightseeing all day and before dinner. There were three Italian wines (2 whites and 1 red) and small food pairings. It takes place at a great little wine bar just off Campo dei Fiori. Recommended!
Everything we expected and more! The owner was passionate about his craft and very informative. The setting was small and intimate. The vino? Outstanding. Would do it again.
