Even though you pay to skip the line if your party is less than 18 people apparently you go in the middle que, still had to wait an hour before getting in so be prepared!
Is a great way to avoid the long lines and get insight into the historic sites.
Don't kid yourself that it's enough to walk or drive by this awesome structure.

A real time saver

This tour saved a lot of time which is limited when visiting Rome. We walked into the Roman forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum with no wait and our entire time (3 hours) was all focused on seeing the sites we paid to visit. Our guide was knowledgeable about the sites.

Unfortunately the tour guide (JC) was not qualified at all with very bad command of English and he did a very poor job showing/explaining us around. I have had many tour guides in my life but that was disappointing.

The guide’s English was pathetic and none of us in the group could understand anything she was saying. Before we could figure out the importance of a spot she was rushing to the next. Wouldn’t recommend this tour anyone!

It was a great tour. The guide JC was very knowledgeable and he structured the tour well - we hit all the key points and he also made sure that we strategically avoided the crowds and enjoyed some shades alone the way.

We had the worst tour guide I have ever had. He told us lots of dates and names, but we had no idea what the big picture was. We couldn’t understand what he was saying. When I tried to ask a question, he talked over me. It was a waste of our time. It was a huge disappointment.

Our guide Maya was very informative and really knew her history well. It was very hot, tour was worth it to skip the lines in the heat. The forum history guide was great otherwise it would be difficult to comprehend on your own. Well worth it for our family with teenagers.

This was a great experience. Our guide has all the answers to the questions that everyone asked. We didn’t have to wait in any line and we were given some time at each main (photo and bathroom) areas to do what we needed. She did walk a bit fast, but that’s not an issue because we could hear her from a distance and she always made sure we were all together before proceeding too far. Great experience and would 100% recommend doing it again.
