Although cooking is not my thing and I went feeling extremely under the weather, the night was filled with memories and good laughs! The leader was so funny, and we really learned a lot about why the Italians have the best food in the world!!! This was the most different thing we did while in Rome, and although I was picked on most of the night, it was well worth it!!
We were not able to do the open market tour because of heavy rain so we went directly to the pasta making class. Our guide was helpful in navigating us through the bad weather. The chef was enjoyable and enthusiastic. He demonstrated several different kinds of pasta and then we voted on three that we made as a group. It was fun and challenging. He made the sauce and we ate! Yummy!
This is a really fun thing to do when visiting Rome. Having tasted some fabulous freshly made pasta at restaurants whilst in Italy, it was great to find out how it's done. Our guide/chef was very friendly and encouraging and made pasta-making seem easy and achievable. Our group was small and the class very hands-on. We made lots of varieties of pasta and it was then cooked up to enjoy. Paola's sauces, which we added to our pasta, certainly made it taste delicious. It was also interesting that classes are conducted in authentic home environments.
I highly recommend this very unique and specialized cooking class in Rome! Eva and Guiseppe were amazing - very welcoming and fun to interact with. Our class was actually held at their home, outside on a lovely patio. Guiseppe started with the basics of pasta making and then together we made two kinds of dough and about 10 different shapes. Once all the pasta was made, Guiseppe and his assistant prepared delicious sauces, catering to our fellow classmates who were vegetarian, and we shared a beautiful dinner including homemade wine and dessert and coffee. I laughed so much while learning and am eager to host my own pasta-making dinner with friends here at home! And I guarantee to sign up for another class the next time I am in Rome!
One of my favorite parts of the whole trip! Food was delicious and the experience was great. Fun times.
It was so much fun! We were met by chef in the market and it was an easy walk to the house to start our lesson. The chef was very informative and it was very much hands on. And then we got to eat the 3 different pasta dishes we made. Very intimate way to be learn about the importance of food to the Italian culture.
I can not tell you how awesome this was for my family. The BEST thing we did on our European vacation. We learned so much and the instructor was amazing and funny. Thanks for a great time!
Such a fantastic class- I am so glad to have booked this class! I learned so much, had so much fun, and the pasta was excellent! The chefs were fun and knowledgeable, and it was in a beautiful home! I would recommend this to everyone!
This was a terrific experience. Our tour guide Valerio was excellent and we really learned a lot about making a genuine Italian pasta dish. It was a fun time and the meal was delicious
Best kept secret in all of Rome. My daughter and I took a pasta making class while on vacation in Italy just yesterday. It started with an amazing walk and tour to a wonderful home in the center of Rome. Everything about this experience was simply wonderful. The pasta making, the final cooking and tasting of the pasta. Not to mention the appetizers/snacks we had beforehand. Absolutely wonderful. If you plan to visit Rome you best take a pasta making class from this company to get a true Italian experience. This was the best trip because we went into their home and experienced a different culture which you can't buy in a restaurant cooking class. I will recommend this class to all. EXCELLENT experience while in Rome.
We enjoyed this activity in Rome a few weeks ago! We met our very friendly guide/chef, Guiseppe, near Navona Square and he showed around the market. We stopped in a bakery for a pizza snack. Then we made our way to a lovely old Italian home right near Navone where we had our pasta making lesson. The homeowner a sweet Italian grandmother - Nonna made the 3 different sauces, showing us the steps. Guiseppe instructed my husband and I in making the pasta egg and no-egg by hand, and then shaping it into various shapes, some rolled with rolling pin. Nonna cooked up the pasta for us, and we enjoyed 3 courses of pasta that we had made for our lunch, along with wine and a delicious pie she had made as well. It was very good! We had never taken a cooking class of any kind, but we both enjoyed it. It was fun and educational, a unique thing to do that we will remember from our trip to Rome!
Amazing experience in the heart of Rome. Fantastic host, home and tips for creating your own pastas when you return home. This all-in hands-on experience is not to be missed. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and and we were so happy we made time for this one. Don't miss out. Thanks Chef Giuseppe!
Enjoyed the at home experience. Wish it could have included recipes. Have tried carbonara at home and missing something? But enjoyed!
