Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

This tour was very exciting, informative, and personal. We had an AMAZING time with our guide and truly learned a lot from our experience. I would recommend this tour and this guide to anyone who plans to travel to this area of Europe. The tour was well-worth the money, and I will definitely book this tour or a similar tour the next time I travel!

Fast and smooth. Tour company did a great job. Walked us to train, had our tickets for use, and transportation at Naples then back to Pompeii. Pompeii tour was great! Worth it!

We were met at Termini Station and given our tickets for the high speed train to Naples. Once in Naples, we were met and driven to Pompeii. The guide there was extremely good. She knew her stuff very well and answered all questions asked. The route we went on was different than I had done before so there was new stuff to see. It included a nice mix of residential, commercial and public buildings so we got a good idea of the town and how it functioned. The guide gave us a lot of insight into how the people lived.
Following the tour, we were driven back to Naples for our return trip to Rome. Overall, it was a great tour and I would highly recommend it.

This was the best option for my wife and I as we wanted to see Pompeii as a half-day tour. The arrangements or speed train allowed us to be back in Rome for the afternoon. Tour leader was very knowledgeable as well as very entertaining. A great day out.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this October 2016

Pompeii was a city rich in history. I loved seeing it and being amongst the ruins. I did feel that this tour was overpriced for the experience provided by the tour itself. It was my least favorite of all the tours I took because I felt rushed to the point where you could not take pictures and the flow of information felt disconnected. I would still go to Pompeii however I would do it by myself and take the train. It would have saved me a lot of money and I would have been able to at least feel like i could enjoy the city. There are self guided tours available. I was disappointed. I went July 2016. I was with three people and we all felt the same. Lesson learned.
