The church is a shrine to St Agnes, an early Christian who was martyred in Rome. As you explore, look out for her tomb — it became an important place of pilgrimage after her death.
Close to the best evening experience in Rome. Superlative artists, eye:popping venue, I felt complete after a day in the Eternal City. DONT miss this!
This was the first time I had attended a Baroque Concert and it was definitely something I would do again. The Soprano, Alto and Tenor were beautiful to listen to, particularly the Alto who had a wonderful range to her voice. The quartet consisted of the singers and also a guitarist - who was superb. They also gave a history of Baroque as well as the history and story attached to the beautiful church of Sant'Agnese in Agone. Very informative and beautiful
This was our fourth year in Rome and I decided to expand our tour interests. I came upon this on Viator and the reviews sounded interesting. What a totally AMAZING!!! concert. Both my husband and I were lost in time. The artists were fantastic!!! and passionate about the music. We even bought their CD on our way out of the performance 20euro well worth it.
The concert starts in a side Chapel...then the church closes to the public and you move into the main church for the balance of the concert...breathtaking!!!!
The only negative point...wish it had been a longer concert...that's how much we enjoyed it!!!
When we are back in Rome again next year2017 we will go again!!! Well worth your money, and who can put a price on such talent!!
Amazing performance! The last half of the concert is performed in the main church once it is closed to the public. The performers are very talented and the show did not feel touristy. A great experience that I would happily do again.
Great experience. Loved the concert and description of the history of the church. Your web site should make it more clear that there is no actual tour, just the description of the church and it's history as part of the concert. Still loved it though.
must see and listen experience!
This is a must see when in Rome. It's a summer series that happens on one night a week, complete with tour of the church itself. The group will delight you in the small sacristy part f the church, and then walk you into the main area and continue the second part of the performance. You'll be amazed at the acoustics, the choice of pieces, and the talents of the singers and musicians. This group performs throughout Rome at various venues, and are well attended. An enchanting evening.

Excellent - wonderful concert combined with a brief history lesson - highly recommend!!
For the price, this was really a lovely evening! The music and voices were enchanting, and the acoustics were great. Because it was in a church, there was abundant seating. 'Would not hesitate to take another one of these concert tours in the future.
Such a hidden gem of an experience. An hour of professional musicians performing in an amazing church with exceptional/haunting acoustics. And the dinner afterwards was a perfect end to the evening. I'm surprised more people don't take advantage of this experience.
