Extremely useful. The skip the line feature was definitely worth the money.
We absolutely recommend this pass. First, it offers unlimited access to the hop on, hop off bus, although you will want to get on where they recommend so that you can see where exactly it stops at each location. The skip the line part of this pass was worth its weight in gold! We barely waited in line at the colosseum or forum, both sites totally worth seeing! We also did St Peters basilica and the Vatican museum. The skip the line was great at St Peters, but there are a few things to know about the museum: first, you need to book a time slot when you pick up your passes. Our tour group was huge and there is almost a mile-long walk from the meeting point to the entrance of the museum and they dont exactly wait for the whole group, so keep up or know where the entrance is. Once there, even with skip the line, we still had to wait about a half an hour to get in...which is MUCH better than the 3 hour wait if you didnt have advance tickets! You need to stay with the group at least until you enter the museum, as they will hand you your tickets then. The Vatican museum was beautiful and ornate and the Sistine chapel was a MUST see! The biggest downside was the CRAZY CROWDS! There were soooo many people that parts of the museum were like shuffling through line. There were other advantages to the cards they give, including Rome Metro access, but we like to walk in cities so we didnt use that. If you plan on sightseeing any of the big sights, you have to get this pass or another similar one!
I think having the card was worth the money. Rome is not cheap and this was one way to cut some cost. Just make sure you get the right Hop on Hop Off.
This package deal is invaluable. We made good use of the hop on hop off bus over the 3 days and saw so much more of rome than we anticipated. We didn't end up using the Roma card but gave it away to a couple who had just arrived in rome.
Great deal! You must go to a specific location to pick up your pass but it does help with lines and provide some great deals. Don't expect to be on the nicest fleet on buses, however.
Didn't really use the hop-on hop-off as much as we thought we would but it was still enjoyable and convenient. Skip the line at the Vatican and Colosseum were great.
We purchased tickets online and the office to pick up our passes was located just steps away from the Vatican where all of our questions were answered by their friendly staff. There was very little wait time though this was in December so crowds were smaller Any other time of year you may want to try a location further from the Vatican to save time.
The passes to all of the museums listed, along with the Hop-On Hop-Off tour, plus the Rome pass that we used for the bus and subway were the best value for the 4 days we spent in Rome. Passes covered 3 days
If you are trying to see as much of Rome as possible with museum entry and transportation into a short period of time, this is probably the best value and most convenient option.
I can for sure recommend this deal, the two cards together get you around Rome, and into the most famous places on earth. No matter where we went the cards were immediately recognized and accepted. One of the best things about these cards is strangely all you have to do is hold them up as you walk around the attractions and the hawkers trying to sell you on their tickets leave you alone, by itself this was worth a lot. Be sure and go over the list of all the places you can go with these cards, I assure you, you will end up going somewhere that you didn't expect and will never forget. Go to Rome and have fun, one of the most fantastic places we have ever been.
Convenient and complete tour package
Rome was a great experience. The people at Omnia were helpful and professional. The Hop on and Hop off tour was a really good way to see Rome. One thing that didn't go so well was that we went on Sunday to collect our tickets but the whole Vatican square was full and security was tight. We gave up trying to get to the offices of Omnia that day which cut short our three day pass as we only had three days in Rome. It may have just been one of those things but it was unfortunate
