What You Can Expect

Rome Segway Tour

See Ancient Rome by Segway!

Your Rome Segway tour starts near Piazza Venezia, where you’ll meet your guide and get comfortable on your 2-wheeled, self-balancing Segway during a brief practice session. When you’re ready, take off with your guide through Rome’s historical center. Allowing you to cover more ground than a walking tour while still being outside in the fresh air, a Segway tour is the ideal way to experience a city filled with so many must-see attractions.

Head toward Capitoline Hill to visit the archaeological ruins of the Roman Forum, home to landmarks like the Arch of Constantine and Trajan’s Column. Listen to a bit of history about Ancient Rome from your audio commentary as you glide around the edge of the forum, and then pass by Palentine Hill on your way to Circus Maximus, where chariot races were once held.

Continue to the Colosseum for a photo op of this legendary amphitheatre where gruesome gladiator battles once took place, which you’ll hear about via your audio guide. Then weave your way over to the Church of Santa Maria to check out Bocca della Verità, the Mouth of Truth, a carved piece of marble made famous in the Audrey Hepburn movie Roman Holiday. Legend says, if you put your mouth into the sculpture and tell a lie, your hand will be bitten off.

End your tour by making your way back to the starting point, stopping for a photo op at a scenic vantage point along the way.

I can't recommend this highly enough - three hours zooming around Rome on a Segway and a chance to see some of the sights you wouldn't otherwise. The Segway was a lot of fun to drive and quite easy even for the more mature of us I am 55 and my 15 year old son just loved it. Informative commentary and lots to see. I would also say good value for money

We had a wonderful experience on our Segway tour of Rome! It was the only way to go to cover so much ground. Our guide Alessandra was really knowledgable and made the tour a lot of fun for our whole family. The segways were easy to master in a short ti,e and we were all novices! Thanks for a great tour - a must especially on the first day of our stay in Rome.

We loved this tour! The seaways were easy to master for all ages, and our guide Lorena was the best. Her spunky personality was awesome! This was how we spent our first day in Rome, and it certainly set the tone for a fun trip. Seeing Rome on segways is a great way to cover more ground than you could on foot.

Great way to see Rome! My son talked me into it and we both really enjoyed it. Learning to ride the Segway was easy and made it so much nicer than climbing all 7 hills of Rome. Matteo was our guide and he was awesome. I highly recommend it!

This was so much fun! Taking the Segway tour was an efficient, fun, and easy way to see lots of great sights in Rome. You are able to cover a lot of ground throughout the city while on them, and you don't feel exhausted or rushed. Our guide, Raffa, was truly exceptional. She had a great personality and was very knowledgable about Rome. Riding the Segways was fun, and Raffa did a good job of teaching us to use them. I found the Segways to be pretty intuitive to use once you spent a little time on them.

Between the price, guided tour, and fun and convenience of the Segways, this was an awesome time! I'm so glad that we did this, and highly recommend it.

This was the best way to travel the ancient ruins of Rome. It was so hot and we cruised by everyone getting a breeze and climbing the hills easily. Our guide Lucy was terrific. She was extremely knowledgeable and really fun. It was really easy to ride and quick to learn and was a great way to give your feet a rest after all the walking.
