What You Can Expect

Rome Segway Tour

See Ancient Rome by Segway!

Your Rome Segway tour starts near Piazza Venezia, where you’ll meet your guide and get comfortable on your 2-wheeled, self-balancing Segway during a brief practice session. When you’re ready, take off with your guide through Rome’s historical center. Allowing you to cover more ground than a walking tour while still being outside in the fresh air, a Segway tour is the ideal way to experience a city filled with so many must-see attractions.

Head toward Capitoline Hill to visit the archaeological ruins of the Roman Forum, home to landmarks like the Arch of Constantine and Trajan’s Column. Listen to a bit of history about Ancient Rome from your audio commentary as you glide around the edge of the forum, and then pass by Palentine Hill on your way to Circus Maximus, where chariot races were once held.

Continue to the Colosseum for a photo op of this legendary amphitheatre where gruesome gladiator battles once took place, which you’ll hear about via your audio guide. Then weave your way over to the Church of Santa Maria to check out Bocca della Verità, the Mouth of Truth, a carved piece of marble made famous in the Audrey Hepburn movie Roman Holiday. Legend says, if you put your mouth into the sculpture and tell a lie, your hand will be bitten off.

End your tour by making your way back to the starting point, stopping for a photo op at a scenic vantage point along the way.

Just visited Rome for 5 nights. On our first morning we did the Rome Segway Tour at 9.30am for 3 hours. There were only 7 of us in the group and after a short practice/briefing we set off. It was a fun and great way to get to know the area and it's history. Our tour guide was very informative. We covered plenty of ground and went to places that we are certain we wouldn't have gone to or found without the aid of a guide.

This was the highlight of our trip to Rome. Bob our tour guide is the Emperor. He was awesome. Put it this way. Once we completed the first segway tour, we signed up for the second one. Really a great experience. Did a great job teaching us to ride and then was great on the tour. They use very good headsets and you are able to understand everything he says.

Really excellent way to see Rome. Guide was knowledgeable and funny and had a great point of view. The Segways make getting round Rome very straightforwad and actually fun. The timing and structure was perfect and we saw loads of places and things that a walking or other tour would have missed.

Could not recommmend higly enough!

Bob the Emperor was great. Since all of the places you'd want to visit are in different areas, using a Segway takes the work out of it. The great thing about this tour was the fact that we visited pretty much every bucket list item. They give you time to take pictures at every stop and the history that they share gives you a better picture of where you're standing. Try to this tour first, you'll cover a lot of ground in 3 hours. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I booked this tour just to experience the ride and 1st time in Segway. What an amazing ride, highly recommed and make sure to ask Barbie for a tour guide, she made it easy for me to drive and be safe, although I experience to fall by mistakes that I didn't even look into the side walk ramps too busy sightseeing oh well I learn my lesson.

The tour last for 3 hours, better than walking, it's a clever way touring the Piazza Venezia, colosseum all the way to the top of the keyhole door, and street corners that we never been reached. What a wonderful sight and experience. I'm sure I will do it again and again.

Highly recommended and make sure to asked Barbie for your tour guide!

Wonderful ride with perfect weather. Tour guide Bob was professional. He taught us how to ride on the Segway b4 we started riding on the road. You just need 5 mins to get total control of it. It and #39;s so much fun and cool and energy saving to tour around Rome with Segway.will do it again everywhere I travel

This tour was fantastic. We had ear pieces and our tour guide told us about places as we rode past them. There were too many things to see in the few hours of our tour. He told us he needed a week to show us everything. He got in as many things as he could. We would stop for a break and listen to a recorded message that gave us even more info. Our tour guide even gave us info on good places to eat in town as we were leaving. We have done several Segway tours and this one is our favorite!

I had a lot of fun on this tour. We saw quite a bit of the central part of the city. Raff (short for Rafaela) provided a lot of historical info while we rode around, using a nice radio headset apparatus. It and #39;s a nice way to see some sights in a short period of time without tiring out your legs
