Loved the tour, both of them. The tour guides were great and we really got a sense of the history of Rome.it is a lot of walking though, so be prepared.
Excellent guide. She gave us a desire to learn more, was very knowledgable and friendly. On time, kept moving, and was quick to answer questions thoroughly. Very good tour, maybe the best while on the trip. Her name was Sara.
David did a great job through the crowds. Worth having a tour guide to see the Colosseum and the sights surrounding the area.
Very good tour both guides Marielle and Francesca were very good, much better than trying to learn everything yourself, would definitely recommend.
A long day but well worth it. Avoided a colosseum line that was hours l
I highly recommend this tour. The guides where extremely knowledgeable and patient. We took 3 tours. This was the best one of all.
Absolutely first rate! Mariella was fantastic and the knowledge she passed along was unequaled. We chose not to do the afternoon tour and was the right choice as a strong storm hit Rome that day
The guide was extremely helpful and she was well-versed in her knowledge of ancient Rome! The information on the Colosseum was way better than any guide book. I believe the guide has a doctorate in archaeology. She definitely provided us with insights to the Colosseum and the Palatine hills that one will rarely read from books or even google! Great trip and will do it again!
The Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour was GREAT, thanks to "Manuela". Manuela was so knowledgeable, kind and a perfect guide. It was an amazing morning for us to learn about the Colosseum as well as Ancient Rome. Small group of 13 was perfect. Skipping the long lines priceless...
The Afternoon walking tour was good, but there were 25 of us on the crowded streets of Rome. We saw all the important sites. I think I did not enjoy this tour as much as the morning, because it was to much to absorb and enjoy in 1 day. If you have the time, 4 hours of tours a day is enough. If you are in a hurry, this will get you the most for your money.
Guide was very interesting and interested in the Colosseum. She was extremely knowledgeable and easy to listen to. Excellent
It was my wife's real desire to visit Rome and the Vatican in particular. By opting for a smaller group we were able to get a thorough appreciation of this amazing site. Our guide was very well versed in the history and particularly the details about the artworks which added to the overall experience. Her passion came through and made the visit one of her all time holiday highlights.
What an amazing day! Both tour guides were archaeologists so they were so knowledgeable and insightful, but most of all passionate. We learned so many interesting facts about the Colosseum, the arch of Constantine, the arch of Titus, and the Roman Forum. Then for the afternoon we explored a different part of the city to see the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. And even got to stop for a complimentary drink or gelato. Overall just a fantastic day of tours with excellent guides!
Easy to locate the meeting point above the colosseum metrostation. Put into tour groups, our guide was Maurisio or Morris, an exceptional guide who really knew his stuff (explained he was an archaeologist) and had a great sense of humour. Throughout the morning tour of the colosseum information was given at suitable points throughout the tour with loads of time given for photographs.
Once we had finished at the colosseum we walked over to the Roman Forumn, this was also fantastic (although in the hotter months of July or August I can imagine that it would become difficult to do as it's completely open to the sun).
Once the morning tour concluded we were very grateful to our guide Maurisio helping us out by taking us (partner and I) to a pizzeria which we would have never found.
The afternoon tour was again really easy to find the meeting point (Spagna metrostation) walk out to the palm trees and meet on the seats.
Our tour guide was Patricia who again excellent, she took us round: Spanish steps, trevi fountains, Pantheon. Loads of interesting information was given about the history of the area and attractions, which was great. Lots of opportunities for pictures as well as a drink and ice cream stop.
We highly recommend this tour.
